local mental health service had 2 psychologists pulled from general duties and not available for other referals.only to see refugees with ptsd

grade 1 at woodridge primary school had 12 non english speaking children who took up a lot of resources to the detriment of other students

sudanese feud in street near my place of work led to a maori teenager being run over and killed.

afghan driving the wrong way thru a roundabout in woodridge cleaned up someone i know, no insurance

sengalese and tamil doctor i work with had almost a punch up in the tea room. Cheesy

Good start, I suppose, but remind me not to come live in your neighbourhood.

I am presuming that these are ALL 'boat people' that you are referring to and NOT assisted migrants.

I must live in a lucky area, as we have ALL these groups you mention and none of the fuss.

I DO have problems with the sons and daughters of my Aussie friends staggering home, wasted, from the pub on Thur Fri and Sat nights.
One instance of mates son, pissed, wrapping his dads car around a tree and killing two of his mates.
Another dill know drove his car along wrong side of rode nearly collecting me as I was coming out of my driveway. Can absolutely guarantee he wont do that again. Not near me anyway.

I could go on, but I think you get my drift.

I'm still interested in hearing any first hand stories though.

Jordan Tukaki was killed outside a party in the suburb of Logan at the weekend, and there are fears there could be revenge attacks.
Just two weeks before his 18th birthday, Mr Tukaki was run down and killed at a Brisbane birthday party that had become out of control.
A 21-year-old from Sierra Leone has been charged with his murder and there are now fears it could escalate into a race war.

though i have worked there for 24 years now.
i dont discriminate between economic up graders whether they come by boat, plane or swim here.

the do gooder f wits in canberra always dump the whole lot of them in the suburbs with the poorest and most red neck of citizens. they always dump them where there is already enormous competition for charity, housing schooling etc.

and again, the only 2 groups who recieve free testing (mantoux) and free vaccination (bcg) are aboriginals and migrants from certain geographic locations.

Asylum seekers do come from sh*t parts of the world and tend to cause both health scares with infections and also law and order issues.

Somali youths have been found in Melbourne to be EIGHT TIMES more likely to have run-ins with the police than their Australian counterparts.

It's because they have no law and order where they come from so think nothing of running loose when they are set free in Australia.

Personally I wouldn't allow in any ethnic Africans at all. They are more trouble than what they are worth.
