This is probably a little too subtle for you, progs. But as much as Skippy would like to name Penny Wong he knows the Labor backbenchers are as aware of the electorates biases as he is.

So you are also saying there is not one woman in labor worthy of atleast a token mention.

Look at them, Roxons going but she is as popular as an ant nest at a picnic, Wong is a man hater, and those nodding noddies are not leadership material, Lundy is a A Grade moron.

The only woman in parliament that is PM material is Julie Bishop, she go real well me thinks, even better than Abbott.

I wouldn't do Wong the disservice of throwing her in as a token mention. I'd love to live in a society where Wong would be seriously considered as a leader. I'm pushing for Rudd to reclaim the leadership for political reasons, but I'd much rather Combet or Wong.

Skippy wasnt nominating his preferred leaders, he was nominating the most likely suspects.

My wife thinks she is brilliant and my wife is like most Australians, far removed from what we talk about in this forum. I think if the opportunity was presented, I might vote for her as a last ditch for women. If she brought in gender like gillard disgustingly has, then that would be it for me for voting women.

I didn't name Wong because she wasn't suitable or for that matter a great choice. I just watch the xenophobic chauvinist pigs on here and see this country is a long way from electing a gay Asian female as PM.

If you think no woman is suitable just because you believe one Woman was a poor PM, you have just defined yourself as a sexist. You really are obtuse, progs.

You can't even pretend you're not a sexist. no wonder you are such an Abbott fanboi.

He's made up his mind about the electorate.

He's yet to rate Wong. Perhaps he doesn't rate her. That doesn't make him a sexist.

I think that a new leader is Labor's only possible chance. Sad that Australians would vote for Tony Abbott, and sad to see them fall for the media's propaganda and misrepresentation of Labor as a bad government, when they haven't been. I think that when it comes down to it, people couldn't accept a female Prime Minister. To answer the question, I think that Carr or Shorten should take it. Both are natural leaders and would win a lot of votes.

Lets face it Labor are gone.
I like to think I'm pretty fair if a little to the left, whether with Rudd or Gillard there is nothing they can do but influence the size of the outcome.
The 1 last hope is that Tony trips and his so tightly wrapped up he'll suffocate first.

Gillard may well be gone, but I refuse to accept that Australians will pull the trigger on Abbott.

I'd say many will vote for him as they see him not as the perfect person for the job, but because he is the lesser of two evils. And basically it is a 2 horse race so votig someone else wont make much difference.

I think the Labor party after this election needs to be cleaned out from top to bottom. Just seems like they have drifted so far away from their values that made them a respectable party.

If another female PM brings in the sexist card, then that will make it without a doubt, not worthwhile voting for a woamn.

Maybe Gillard is that pathetic after all and it is only her and the likes of her that would do such a thing.

I have hope.
