I think the Labor party after this election needs to be cleaned out from top to bottom. Just seems like they have drifted so far away from their values that made them a respectable party.

Paul Howes first, then they should distance themselves from unions and their money. There is only going to be more corruption while they have unions as their uterus.

Joe Hockey? Surely not.

Why the empty talk about Abbott's replacement?

He is doing fine so who, in the coalition, would be stupid enough to give him the shove?

Turnbull had his run and failed which was a pity because oratorially and his looks was impressive.

However, he lost credibility when he began to back Labor's fraud - global warming and carbon tax.

This is probably a little too subtle for you, progs. But as much as Skippy would like to name Penny Wong he knows the Labor backbenchers are as aware of the electorates biases as he is.

I didn't name Wong because she wasn't suitable or for that matter a great choice. I just watch the xenophobic chauvinist pigs on here and see this country is a long way from electing a gay Asian female as PM.

Yeh so dont even name her because you have made up your mind. You are the sexist one.

He's made up his mind about the electorate.

He's yet to rate Wong. Perhaps he doesn't rate her. That doesn't make him a sexist.

You might be right. Any dumbo who publicly says "I think he (Richard Lindzen) is just wrong", has no place anywhere near making policy. She should go now.

I like to think I'm pretty fair if a little to the left, whether with Rudd or Gillard there is nothing they can do but influence the size of the outcome.
The 1 last hope is that Tony trips and his so tightly wrapped up he'll suffocate first.

Rudd could win the election, I am sure of that. Gillard can't, I have accepted that.

help help someone has hacked skippys acc and posted a logical balanced post, gthank god for small miracles.

But no Gillard will not be dumped.

Rudd is hated and noone else wants to be the captain of the ship when it goes down at election time. More career opportunities after the election when most of the competition has been voted out??

rudd will be opposition leader after the election. Nothing else makes sense. Gillard will be gone. half the caucus will be gone and the fools that sailed them onto the rocks will not be wanted.

The torch will be handed to any one of the Ministers sitting at the AWU meeting in the last few days

My pick is Shorten - he was one of the mastermind behind Gillard's ascension

The party does not want Rudd based on his previous and current character. He's too stubborn to change

Gillard may well be gone, but I refuse to accept that Australians will pull the trigger on Abbott.

I'd say many will vote for him as they see him not as the perfect person for the job, but because he is the lesser of two evils. And basically it is a 2 horse race so votig someone else wont make much difference.

I think you are 100% correct.

So do I. I never thought that the Australian people could be stupid enough to vote for Abbott. It's disappointing when even people you know and love are going to do so.  Sad

Everyone I here talk about politics says Gillard is buggered but Abbott is worse. The only person I know that says they can't wait for phony tony is my mother in law, and she is a member of the conga line of suckholes, she would vote for Hitler if he was Liberal leader.

I guess you just ignored the last neilsen poll that has Abbott in front.

Here is another poll that has far more friends than you and they arent all political hacks like the little group you have, so you will get more diversity.
Yahoo 7 poll

Who would you prefer as PM - Gillard, Rudd, Abbott or Turnbull?

18772 votes

Julia Gillard            16% (3037)
Kevin Rudd            28% (5217)
Tony Abbott        33% (6252)
Malcolm Turnbull      23% (4266)

When you have to resort to an online poll to justify your position, you really are struggling.

If Gillard goes all that Labor can do is roll in an old war horse like Crean, the upside for him is he can augment his pension, he'll have no misconception he'll ever be PM and just ride out the storm until the Union thugs can come up with another leader/PM hopeful in 10 years time.

No one with ambition for PM is gonna take up the poison chalice with Dullards lipstick all over it.

hilarious..you are forgetting they are all fractured..

they have taken sides....so who ever is there knows they only have half support...gillard has lost a few more since the last count....

you are so funny...if rudd takes over he loses the whole front bench.....they are all gillard supporters...and hate him..then there are those with a foot in both camps.. crean for one..LOL>.

apart from labor doing its utmost to make Abbott out to be the worst choice....I havent heard one complaint about Abbott froma righty

god that must make you guys sick...every day someone from the labor party is saying something ominous about gillard..

if you really think us aussies are going to put up with anymore ex union bosses... you sure havent been reading the papers have you????

exactly everyone they have except rudd is tainted by the unions.. and look what the POWER of the union mob did to rudd... and we can see the hold they have over gillard..

has she said one word about corruption in the unions.. and at the moment they are riddled with it???
