I think Australians do hate liars or those who renege.

AsGreens have stated just yesterday, JuLiar didn't have to lie or renege just to hold onto the top job. They, the Greens would not have gone against her if she had kept her word, not brought in the carbon dioxide tax.

How would the Greens had fared if another election had been called? Who (except Malcoln Turnpull and the brainless wanted another tax?)

The leftards and the watermelons were dumb if they hadn't realised the unpopularity of another tax.

Most of us were taught as children not to lie or there would be consequences. It seems that Julia Gillard had a very bad upbringing .... didn't her own Mother say "Anything Julia wants, Julia gets"? What she didn't get was disciplined by her parents, obviously. She constantly lies, she chases married men and she can't be trusted. Simple as that.
