I'm not a fan of abstract concepts ...probably why I don't believe in god .... go figure .

Yet you use them all the time. Just as everyone else does.
I am not arguing for the existence of god. I am trying to show that when it comes to analysing the psyche, normal scientific rules often do not apply. It's not like when we designate names for empirical things, like rocks, tables, chairs etc. They are physical object we perceive through the senses. When it comes to communicating 'objects' or 'things' that cannot be grasped through the senses, it becomes very grey indeed. Morality - like equality - is not conjured through the senses, it comes as an idea that is internally felt or cognised. Where do ideas comes from? How does something immaterial appear? Why does one immaterial idea have more credence than a different immaterial idea? Equality as an idea has no empirical equivalent, yet people will do anything and everything, even kill millions, to achieve it. They reify it and worship it.

I am not arguing for the existence of god here, I am more out to debunk the post-modern atheist's belief that he is the bringer and harbourer of reality, particularly when he uses the same type of cognitive processes as the idealists and immaterialists.

The judgement is central to the Christian faith and Jesus himself condemned evil doers to hell....good people will leave their money to the work of Jesus among  the poor and ignore the christ haters...

Yes Baron,
he's condemned nearly every person on this forum to burn forever in hellfire & damnation.

At the same time he collects social security from the people he condemns -

talk about biting the hand that feeds his fat body.

It's similar to a strawman fallacy.

To claim that not believing in a god is somehow the same as believing in a God because they both require an element of faith is ludicrous ... A belief in god is based purely on faith ... nothing else ..anything they cannot explain they put down to faith ... what a cop out.

an atheist on the other hand bases his belief on what he sees around him , the so called representatives of god doing the opposite of what they preach, the church's lust for wealth, the church historically being responsible for more deaths than any other person or persons, the people suffering and starving despite the fact that they were put there by a gracious god , as well as a million and one other things in the world around us ... that is not a blind faith .. it is evidence that disproves a high and mighty all powerful compassionate being. I would never torture my kids the way god supposedly tortures some of his.

which by any definition is a pretty limited viewpoint. it takes FAITH to extrapolate from your limited experience and believe it to be truth.

I'll considered it... when I see you complain about all the shlt that he posts. Can't remember you ever protesting when he posts pictures of drag queens and labeling them members of this forum. Or when he accuses people of covering up for pedophiles and stealing old pensioners money. I fail to see why any moderator should protect him after the abuse he throws around.

However, I am happy to be proven wrong if you have indeed critisied him for his disgusting posts. Just don't remember ever seeing them.
