In actuality, there is a very great provision for age in the concept..
Paedophilia literally means sexual attraction towards prepubescent children....So age is the determining factor, not gender.

I can’t see the Vatican taking it up.

Whom will these priests marry? As most of them favour boys, will marrying a woman satisfy them?

I suspect these are born perverts and enter positions where they have access to potential victims.
