So far we know Spot flew in an F111. We know this because he told us it was grey and loud.
His wife was in the RAAF that's why he was allowed in and chucked the keys to one.

All perfectly reasonable...

Not sure how the RAAF handles such things, but the US military only grants check rides to A. Politicians (rarely and they better have a damn good reason for using up flight hours), B. Entertainment personalities for public relations purposes, or C. Military presonnel either directly involved with a specific aircraft's maintenance for test purposes or as a reward for exceptional service. In all cases it involves several hours of classroom and practical trainering on emergency procedures and safety breifs as well as a full flight physical that if you fail they probably won't even let you in the same hanger as the aircraft you might've flown in.

Yeah the RAAF is pretty much the same.

Even for military personnel the free rides were rare, F18 were easier to get a flight than an pig.

Best flight I ever had was an Iroquois Gunship (right hand seat), 4 rockets WP & HE and 4000 rounds through the mini guns. Learned that I couldn't fly for sh1t and gunships kick arse.  Grin

Why should we believe you?

because he has credibility. He could be lying, but the bulk of his postings support the fact that he was a soldier and has some knowledge of these things. he has built up an online rep that is consistent with his claims. you on the other hand claim to have flown in an F1-11 yet all you can say about it was that it was grey and loud. you dont sound even remotely believable.

I believe Biggie because every little feeler question he's been asked he not only gives the correct responses to, he does so unhesitatingly. Futher, he occassionally includes information that unless you've been in the military working on, in, or around helicopters and air assault it's damn unlikely he could fake it simply because it's the sort of stuff you wouldn't know otherwise. For example, his comments on ammunition stores for an M-134 are spot on to what I've had experience with the same system because you country uses the exact same kit for that weapon we use.

Meanwhile it took sixteen pages of whining and general butthurt just to get you to tell us an Aardvark is gray.

Edit: Would people stop calling it an "F1-11"? The motherbuggering dash goes before the numbers, people.

Paint schemes rarely mean anything as far as aircraft type goes. Grey makes more sense simply because it blends well visually against the sky, aiding the aircraft against detection by the Mk1 Eyeball. Camo schemes are generaly a hold over from before AESA radars became commonplace and using terrain features to mask yourself from airborne radar sets was still viable. These days if a sufficiently powerful AESA set gets above you then there isn't anything a paintjob can do to hide you barring the use of extraordinarily expensive RAM infused paints.

Just like your BS can be seen for what it is. The same way your lack of knowledge can be seen right here.

Your post give you away. That's how we know who and what you are.

You can't have it both ways spot. If you think you can judge people by what they write on this forum, then you can't claim that people can't know you by what you write.

There's a massive difference between not talking about a thing and not answering when asked about that thing, Spot. If you backpeddle any harder I might be temped to hook you up to a generator and solve the energy crisis.
