You are a child, Maqqa. External factors impact on your ability to deliver on your commitments. Gillard did not have a majority so she compromised to deliver on a carbon price. To do otherwise would have been a bigger betrayal.

Labor had a clear mandate to deliver a price on carbon. That is what they have done.

Of course. If Abbott is forced into negotiating with the independents in order to form a minority government, he will have to make some concessions. He will then be judged on the outcomes of his government.

Gillard was forced into a temporary carbon tax, but will ultimately deliver on what her party was twice given a clear mandate to do.

If that were the case, would you care to explain why the Australian people's support has left in droves since?

We'll see, Andrei. My bet is that this is going to tighten up.

But you would admit the Labor party support fell off a cliff since the announcement of a carbon tax and 3 years later has still not recovered.

If you believe they had a mandate I am just wondering how you'd explain why they've been so unpopular for so long?

Jokes aside - Gillard will play the helpless woman being assaulted by Abbott role to a tea

and her fat arse will appeal to Biggest Loser watchers

Abbott has nothing to gain from this

I agree with you, Maqqa. Tony has nothing to gain from exposing his policies to scrutiny. Plenty to lose, nothing to gain.

Policies:
Stop Carbon Tax that will reopen business doors  because it is business that earns the dollars for the treasury (not Gillard mouthing promises).

Stop NBN (billions saved)

Down-size the public service

Police Welfare cheats

That will be the start to repay Swans & Gillard's borowed billions.

despite promising explicity and unequivocably to NOT bring in  carbon tax. there is no way of getting around the fact that she broke her promise. and the polls agree.

Are you slow, Maqqa. If he has to negotiate with independents to form a minority government, some concessions on policy will have to be made. I wouldn't be so childish as to call him a liar.

you dont seriously beleive there is ANY chance of a minority govt, do you? the only question is if it will be a record majority or not.

Still intrigued to learn why you think their support dropped like lead after the carbon tax announcement (and never recovered) if you think the people gave them a mandate?

This isn't just a couple of Liberal cheerleaders, their support has dropped to abysmal levels.

Why do you think that is then?
