I'm not predicting a Labor win. I'm just not conceding this far out from an election when Labor has the better policies and the better leader.

I think you are being quite presumptuous to underestimate Gillard when Abbott is such a risk.

I wish I shared you optimism, MOTR, but I believe after this week the unthinkable is about to happen.

People aren't as irrational as we sometimes fear. All Gillard needs is a bit of clear air. The going might have been easier under Rudd, but the majority of the Labor caucus weren't prepared to sell out to News Limited.

I'm happy to back their judgement. Personally, I've always preferred Gillard as leader. Going back to Rudd would only have worked if he was prepared to allow Murdoch dictate Labor policy. Rudd might have been prepared to pander to Murdoch, but caucus wasnt going to give him the opportunity.

That clear air you are hanging on to is a load of hot air.

Hot air is what you feed off, progs. Just wait till Abbott has to explain his plans.

He already has and I didnt see the sky falling.

We will see, after all, nothing is written in stone, except of course, a person named Juliar Gillard never being an elected PM.
