A sure fire way to slow down boat smugglers.

Go to America, knock on their door, and kindly ask them to stop bombing our northern neighbours. Ask them politely to turn up with money in hand and offer to buy oil off the Arab states, instead of bombing the crap out of the country to install its own oil companies. And tell them to stop aiding Al Qaeda in countries like Syria and Libya. That's if you can get them to admit it in the first place.

And sanctions. Ask America if it feels so strongly about free trade for people and what it can do for a country, then why not try free trade instead of sanctions.

The following logic does not make sense:

"Free trade and capitalism can dramatically change a country for the better. As the people become more wealthy and better educated, the politics also changes for the better. Free trade encourages democratic thinking.

So, let's imposed sanctions on North Korea and isolate it."

Can't wait to see thousands of NK boat people coming to our shores.

Pakistan is right next to Afghanistan - that is a huge factor. Not that it would cause refugees, but America has been bombing away in Pakistan.

Someone had a great idea in a letter to The West Australian newspaper yesterday.

He said we give about 400 million dollars in aid to Indonesia every year (goodness knows why? *my comment*).

He says we should increase that to 500 million. But, for every boat person that arrives here from Indonesia, deduct 1 million.

Problem solved.

Then Indonesia may buy fast planes and attack Australia; they have enourmous military spending so why should Australia help them to get a bigger military force?
Australia seems to have lost the control of our sea borders and I have no idea how to stop these boats coming.

An extra 100 million isn't going to make much of a difference except that it'll save us billions once Indonesia finally wake up and do something about stopping the boats.

O sure blame the USA because your silly cow Gillard does nothing to discourage these free loaders from coming to y'alls country. Australia gives these boat people free homes, centerlink, etc. so it makes it easy for the smugglers to get people willing to jump on the first leaking boat heading to australia. BLAME YOUR GOVERNMENT FOR BEING STUPID AND MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE instead of voting in( I know Julia didn't out right win the election) these labor( commie) loons that are giving your country away!!!!
