a genuine plan which failed

So this is to be the excuse, is it, for Labor's 6 years of chaos, profligacy and intentional undermining of society?

All in your mind - planted by the media on behalf of the Liberals.

The proposed surplus was budgeted and based on the estimates of the time, it was too aggressive but achievable had the economic position remained stable with the projections.

You guys are happy to attack this but have no comment about the Abbott grab bag of contradictory impossibility. That is all OK. Believers in the magic pudding.

Just stick to the formula - you cant answer on the topic so just bash Labor about something minor.

That's rich coming from the direct descendants of the creators of propaganda! If I couldn't think for myself I'd be poor right now.
The whole point is that we've had a govt which has been a proven failure, unlike its Hawke/Keating predecessors, and we have no choice to go to an alternative whose members have a proven record of success.

govt which has been a proven failure

Not supportable in fact based on performance.

Still no comment on the actual topic of Abbotts monkey magic.

$100 Billion + in unfunded promises OH and a surplus in the first year - yuk yuk yuk. Thats a good one. The facts say that if he keeps his spending commitments he won't see a surplus inside a decade.

He is going to increase the market price of raw material like coal etc and reduce the cost of power - ho ho ho.  See Macca's equation on price, when the cost goes up the price doesn't come down.

an alternative whose members have a proven record of success.

Abbott has a long term proven record of failure and nothing inspiring confidence in his team.

Just look at his plan - the magic pudding - you really want to go that way???

DNA if you think this Government has been a success then you are a biased old hack.

It's been terrible.

Good Governments don't have the disdain of the people like this one has.

I attended an AICD lunch back in 2011 in Melbourne.
The comments of Swan of delivering a surplus "come hell or high water" were roundly criticised.
