Do you want gay marriages

This is not a debate about if you think it's right or wrong

Currently we don't have gay marriages. A change in the law would benefit the voters

So do you want gay marriages?

If you vote yes - how does it change you or the ability to feed and clothed your family

If no - then you've voted for the status quo.

I vote no gay marriages

It does not impact me so why should I vote yes?

Must I vote yes to everything that does not impact me because someone is going to call me names?

If the Greens believe in this sooooo strongly - let them make this their election centre-piece

If Wong believes in this soooo strongly - let her make this the centre-piece at the next election

No political party will do it!!!

Not even the Greens.

Gay marriages is a second thought now because the Greens leader is not gay!!

Their wish is still for the legalisation of marriage between two consenting adults regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity.

The major parties like to keep the gay marriage conversation up front and out there coming into the election.

That way it leaves room for the important issues like education, health, war unemployment and housing to get tossed on the back burner.

The majority of Australians couldn't care less if gay couples get married or not. The same with asylum seekers, a very minor issue that always gets blown out of proportion......distraction issues, Gillard and Abbott are very good at it.

The media are also focused on petty issues, look at the advertisement for Abbott.....his daughters, like anyone really cares what their opinions are.

When will we get serious about good governance in this country? When the people overthrow the current lot of clowns?

I could not careless who gets married anymore than I can care about who gets divorced.

to each his own I say...

spend the freaking money on DOCs for goodness sakes and stop kids dying from abuse..to watch the time and energy plus money spent on this topic makes me want to scream.

now you want to dictate why people should vote for something? If you are merely concerned for your family unit, you go for it, but many others, myself included, don't see this as having anything to do with my family unit .. as far as I'm concerned this is a social issue and one of equality ... as such I'll vote accordingly.
