I really wish people would stop using religion (particularly Christian religion) as the reason for marriage and a reason to oppose gay marriage.

The concept of marriage is and was a purely secular and societal concept that predates any organised religions by at least 2000 years, and predates Christianity by anything up to 10,000 years.
Religious components were added to what was originally a tribal/clan social contract as a means to allow religious hierarchy to exercise addition control over the people.

Exactly, and now days the rules around who can and who cant be married are set by the legislature, not the church.

If a couple wants to get married in the park, what right do the church have to say they can't?

They have none, they are irrelevant to that happening.

This whole thing is about anarchists tearing down institutions, law and Government and creating chaos freeing themselves from the restraints of being accountable to other people and rules. Its one of the reasons why I feel now more than ever we need a military presence in our suburbs and our streets and a crackdown on gun ownership...Order and Government is under attack...

Separation of church and state, secular. Same sex couples should be able to get married...'equal rights'/'equality'. Simple really. Anything else surely is a breach of our anti-discrimination laws.

I do not believe in regime change by supporting armed rebellion either here or abroad...Anarchists have been fueling revolution around the world and the overthrow of Government and authority...so yes I believe a military presence to protect domestic security is prudential...I believe the threat of anarchy is pervasive and cannot be ignored...
