can i just say that i have never had a homosexual thought in my life and i suspect 90 to 95 % of men would be the same.
i'm no prude but the thought is disgusting.
just being honest here.
all this "closet" homosexual stuff is really just totally misguided with 19 out of 20 blokes i reckon.

I am actually unfazed if two people of the same sex wish to marry , having gay friends teaches you tolerance , whats astounding is that any government has any say in to the union of two people irrespective of sexual preference .

Rolls eyes** - it's isn't a matter of any government telling anyone what they can't do - the simple Reality is that gays have never fitted the bill for marriage... pretty simple really.

It's actually a matter of a small group dictating to everyone else what they want.  Gay Bolshevism at work.

It's got nothing to do with what they want - given the choice would you be a sano man picking up outhouse refuse for a living?

Discussion of choice has nothing to do with the fact that some people will never be suited to be some specific social thing - if you're not suited to driving a big truck in the Outback for days on end - you are not suited...

Short answer -

No, not ever.

Totally agree ..This was in the USA papers today .....Perverted Grade School Teaching Kids Anal Sex in a USA school, is this what we want for our future children to accept gay marriages this will be the next step the gay community will be pushing for.

Looks like the Libs are gonna squib it on this issue.
Personally, I think the people should be allowed to decide it not a handful of m0rons.
Imagine 720 people changing society and social values of a whole country...  amazing.

I think its important we as a society can acknowledge and allow your love for lastnail to be as equal as that of a man and woman.

Totally agree Grappler...  wow that's a first... this will have no legitimacy unless the people decide.

I'm not sure, Bobby. You're always free to go to New Zealand or Ireland or Mother England if you and your partner wish to formalize your love for each other.

If they want to play house, let 'em. I propose a compromise to end the issue once and for all.

The institution of marriage with all its traditions and legalities should be boxed up with a big bow on top, and handed over with best wishes to the Gay-Lesbian community at a big ceremony in the Mardi Gras in Sydney.

At the same time a new legislation for heterosexual specific union is to be introduced.

Everyone in society should have the same rights as anyone else....I don't see what is so hard to understand....I have not seen one rational argument against Gay Marriage!!!

The whole thing is that Homosexuals, Lesbians and De Factos (common Law marriages) have ALL come under the same Legislation for 20+ YEARS!

Live with someone for just 18 MONTHS and they can have a half share of what you have, if you break up. Including your Superannuation, inheritances and so forth. This is Australian LAW.

The homosexuals are on a different planet.  It is NOT marriage. They can already get what they want.  It is a MINORITY Group winning over the rest of us. So bugger them.

Lesbians are homosexuals, just saying.

Are you sure about that (not that that is what marriage is anyway)

Was that intended for to be accompanied by a rim-shot?
