A highly emotive , biased, and obviously posed photograph - in other words this is propaganda pure and simple and is dedicated to the absolute myth that men are beasts.  It is clearly not a reflection of the very vast majority of marriages in any way.

A wise woman understands that a man builds a load every day, and needs it released - is it too much to ask for something easy and simple without being called a rapist?  The alternative is to turn a blind eye to extramarital affairs.

Humanism - the startling philosophy that men are humans and actually have rights!

Sits back, cracks a stubbie, grabs a handful of ALDI cashews, and awaits the clown who'll inevitably come in here and say that even suggesting that men have rights means I'm saying men have rights to rape.. not in what I've written.. but some love that kind of mental confusion in themselves...

Dear Lisa,

what if a gay couple - 2 men - got married & moved next door to you?

What if you & your kids saw them kissing in the street outside your place?

Is this the End Times?

Yep.

Did everyone see that?

Even Lisa agrees - it must be the End Times.

Dear Lisa,
you live a sheltered life -

you were lucky to find a straight man in Sydney -

it's over flowing with queers.

A very short-ish answer from me - no I don't.

I dont have an issue with gay people. They can have relationships all they like, I also support their partner having the same legal reights as a de-facto regular couple.

I would ask they show a bit of decorum in public - but I would rather that across the board too.

I do believe though that the institution of marriage should be for a man and a woman.

I am ok for civil partnerships where a certificate can also be produced - but not a marriage.

Is it?

Too busy getting on with life to notice.

But you're right about me veing lucky.  He's a good guy. My family love him heaps too.

What helped heaps was that we were both Sydney based.

Long distance relationships don't really work IMO.

Anyway....I think we covered that ground a few years back. Yes?

It is an absurdity, play acting.

There will be no 'gay marriage', only gay weddings.

Exactly.

No, it only means you are prejudiced,

There will be same sex weddings and same sex marriages and same sex divorces. All coming soon.

You re just going to have to get used to it.

Except that two blokes will never be regarded as married, only as 'married',  no matter what legal certificate they may have.

People are not stupid. Two blokes is not the same as a man and a woman, no matter what the 'law' says.

Homosexuality is a societal dead end. Heterosexuality is not. You will never legislate away the difference .  Biology trumps law.

And that is why after millions of years of natural selection we don't have gay people anymore.

I used to be of this opinion too but as I had a very close friend who was gay and I saw the love he had for his partener- it was not a seedy version of love- its wasn't a pretend game they were playing- they really were in love- and when his partner died he was  cut very deeply and didnt partener ever again- he then died. He wanted to marry his partner and I realised he wanted to be married for the same reason anyone else does- it was a union he wanted recognised by law because he loved his partner - and wanted the same protections marriage afforded them as a couple-

The only concerns I have still about gay marriage is concerning children and that is only because of the stereotypical notion/concerns that most gay men are also peadophiles- someone corrtect me on that one..I want you too.

I voted in favour of gay marriage.

The real point about same sex marriage is simple, although it is conveniently overlooked. Homosexuals have the right to form legal unions already. By imposing themselves in the traditions of matrimony they want to deprive normal people of the right consider themselves normal. They can only do that by legislation that state homosexuality is the same as heterosexuality. Its just a different flavour. Its as though its a 50-50 thing. Personally, I don't see human sexuality that way. To me the man, woman, progeny unit is the main stream of life and gays are fringe dwellers. Gay is not one thing, its a myriad of weird predilections, check out their literature and websites.
