And what did he say before he was quoted out of context. Can't you see how you are being played as a fool.

Hunt says Coalition accepts IPCC findings

"What does this mean? It means that we need to do practical things that actually reduce emissions."

Especially those who make absurd claims, such as that idiotic claim that QLD would never get enough rainfall to fill its dams again. Flannery is quite simply a moron, whose outlandish predictions never come anywhere near close to materialising...

This has been discussed ad nauseum. Not a single poster has been able to show us where Flannery actually made this prediction. Flannery knows the weather is variable, he knows that long term trends can be overwhelmed by specific weather events. If you read his work without filtering it through the echo chamber you would know your statement is a complete fabrication.

I have and he said it alright. He was even refering to the now. The present and how we are already seeing signs of climate change.

I showed where he talked of the present and moved on to crystal balls. All failing mind you. The poor sod doesnt even know how soil and plants work in terms of run-off.

Flannery is a waste of money. Good move.

I want to elaborate on this a bit more to be fair. What has he accomplished in his time on the government payroll that justifies keeping him on?

Abbott will need his own bureaucracy to account for his Direct Action policy.....He will also use taxpayer money to fund the billions of dollars that will be wasted implementing his useless policy.....How the Liberal Party can condemn the market over Government control shows they have no moral fibre and prefer to play politics than implement good policy.....An emissions trading scheme is the only way to drive investment and get real change in how we reduce our carbon emissions.....Tony Abbott's Direct Action policy is an insult to the environment and all Australian's who care about our planet and our children's future!!!

What is the use of a house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?

correct, tony is a big spending, big government f wit, just like julia and swan.
at least he doesnt ozze hatred for the movers and shakers the way those 2 clowns do but if he worked in a business run by me, he would be reduced to photo copying duties.

as to swan and gillard, i would take great delight in sacking their sorry ars*es Wink

Flannery.....one word.....Geodynamics....hows that going for you Tim?

This country can't afford Tim. I think Howards plan to make hime Aust of the Year was a ploy to keep him close by, pat him on his baldy head everynow and then, and say 'thats a good boy Timmy, why don't you play with those blocks over there once you've polished that nice little medal'.

You are a deadset moron, armchair. Quoting someone out of context is about as dishonest as it gets. Are you deliberately hiding the context or are you totally oblivious?

Here is the quote in its entirety.

Quote:
PROFESSOR TIM FLANNERY: We're already seeing the initial impacts and they include a decline in the winter rainfall zone across southern Australia, which is clearly an impact of climate change, but also a decrease in run-off. Although we're getting say a 20 per cent decrease in rainfall in some areas of Australia, that's translating to a 60 per cent decrease in the run-off into the dams and rivers. That's because the soil is warmer because of global warming and the plants are under more stress and therefore using more moisture. So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems, and that's a real worry for the people in the bush. If that trend continues then I think we're going to have serious problems, particularly for irrigation.

Wanna know what's really dishonest? Promising no carbon tax prior to the election and then introducing one when you'v'e got the job back...
