Yet another example of wrong priorities by Gillard
Apr 4th, 2013 at 11:19am

Seems that Hollywood is higher up the list for receiving federal funding than our straining health system. Just another example of Gillard getting her governments' priorities horribly wrong.

Nothing like the Telegraph getting the lacking up in arms with outrage.

WESTERN Sydney MP and victim of Simon Crean's Ruddless coup Ed Husic has openly criticised Julia Gillard's decision to give more than $20 million to a Disney film when he has been lobbying in vain for medical equipment for his local hospital.

The supporter of former PM Kevin Rudd told Sky News he had been trying to get an MRI machine for Mt Druitt Hospital "for ages", only to learn a cash-strapped Gillard government was throwing money at a re-make of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The new came amid revelations Mt Druitt Hospital's cardiac ward is being shut down.

"I have to say I raised my eyebrows yesterday when I saw that we were giving $20 million to the production," Mr Husic said.

"I don't need 20,000 leagues of sea, I need an MRI at Mt Druitt Hospital."

Mr Husic's western Sydney seat is under threat at the September election and his comments followed Ms Gillard's announcement on Tuesday of a one-off payment to Walt Disney studios, which is re-shooting the cult classic in Australia. The Prime Minister said it would create 2000 jobs in the local film industry.

If Gillard was on the Titanic and was given the choice of an anchor chain or a life raft, she'd go for the anchor chain every time. She is so f3cken dumb she must have been a lawyer in her previous life.

Why? It's a Labor MP who is crying foul, not a Liberal...
