The usual "gays are the problem" argument.

It is a bit hard to get the answers to my questions without joining the dots.

Yep just like the blacks were the problem.
And those asians.
and those asylum seekers.
and those muslims.

Why can't they all just f*off, right?

And don't forget:

"They were wearing short skirts, so it's no wonder they were raped".

Roll Eyes

Well that is out of the scope of my original questions. I dont know how prevelant that is and rape is something that all societies struggle with really.

I am interested in the gay demographic because gay bashing has been almost eradicated in Australia and UK(but more population would not seem so to an Australian) and am wondering how they feel about it being in danger of returning more so in a religion that has shown its stubborn  dogma, so will revive for a very long time I would suggest.

All societies dont struggle with gay? I guess not since some have accepted it now.

SOB

I cant see any part about this thread that says societies dont struggle with gay. Well done for totally missing the point of not all societies struggle with gay bashing. They may have in the past and to the point, may again.

Im pretty sure I made the point quite obvious, but you, you are challenged.

Gawd. No comprehension skills as usual. You said that rape was different because all societies struggle with it. So no societies struggle with gay or gay bashing?

SOB

Gawd, you say gawd. OMG you are ................ I will refrain.

Put it this way for you so it is atleast in a way less confusing for you.

Australia struggles with rape. Australia does not struggle with gay bashing, because it has been virtually eradicated. Gay bashing may be in danger of returning.

There, you get the point yet?

In the context of Australia and UK. This whole thread is a context of itself. 1 post is not.

go to any pub in Sydney on a Saturday night and see them punch each other out.. its not a gay thing its a male thing..men are like apes they have arms so swing them... what else are they for.

oh I forgot now they also put the boot in.makes them braver I think.

Although true cods, it really is another thread on its own. Gay bashing and your every day male on male violence are very seperate issues.

oh I disagree entirely..how many lesbians do you know that get beaten up??..

its the male.. he thinks its POWER and he sees gays as weak..so they wont hit him back.. cowards I guess...what possesses a person to punch someone until they are mush I do not know....but I am almost sure its a male thing.

I have to disagree but acknowledge your point. The reason I disagree is that gay bashing in Australia and UK has/had been virtually eradicated. If it were still prevalent, then your point would be taken wholeheartedly and would probably mask the other reasons for gay bashing. Yes power is certainly one of the reasons. Pure hatred is another. Although both seem to be a male thing as you stated.

If Islam becomes more prominent in Australia, or anywhere really, expect the persecution of gays to rise.

Although this has been repeated millions of times, there is a glaring contradiction between the international socialist's desire for a unified and harmonious society and their complete lack of criticism toward Islam's intolerance of homosexuality.

Seeing recently the far-left condemn Wilders and support Islam was one of the most dumbest things I've ever experienced.

What power is this? That assumes that A. religion is not just a collection of formalized superstitions and there really are invisable sky pixies, and B. that hell is a real, physical location (no, Detroit, Michigan does not count). Sine there isn't any evidence to support either assumption then it stands to reason religion doesn't actually have "power" beyond what the ignorant grant them.

Back to the topic, Abrahamic religions are predisposed to homophobia, who knew. It's not just Muslims, Christians and Jews both do the exact same sh*t. The pronlem isn't the gays, itvs ignorant bastards holding that the ancient social morals of cattle sacrificing primatives is better than not being a dick to their fellow man.

Right. Well said.

Homophobia and the persecution of gays are rampant in a lot of majority Muslim countries. It's a huge problem. To suggest that it is a problem purely or even primarily associated with Islam is misleading.

I'm not sure if I'm representative of the 'far left', but condemning the general Islamic attitude toward homosexuality and finding Geert Wilders' hatemongering distasteful and dangerous aren't mutually exclusive.

Many, if the stats are to be believed.  It just happens that it's at each others hands.

Quote:
Earlier this year the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research published the results of a survey of over 51,000 California adults: . The UCLA study found 28% of persons in lesbian/gay relationships had experienced intimate partner violence, compared to 17% of persons in heterosexual relationships.

Its also believed that lesbians are more likely to engage in partner violence than gay men. According to the Boston Gay Mens Domestic Violence Project, one in three homosexual women experience partner aggression, compared to only one in four homosexual men.

The only "irony" I see is in the right wing hate site link in the op.

Quote:
The intense media focus on these incidents has served to drive a further wedge between people of different ethnicity, faith and lifestyle – which in the long term will only serve to reduce the ability for people to unite under the banner of freedom in pursuit of their common interests.

Grin Grin Grin Grin

So this trashy "Alex Jones Info Wars" hate site is actually admitting that it is part of the problem.
