No, not the number of casualties. It's the kind of casualties the bombs produced, where one of the bombs was placed, where and when the bombing took place that makes Islamic terrorists unlikely.

1. The bombs were designed to cause a lot of severe wounds low to the ground, like certain kinds of antipersonnel mines. The pressure cooker as an outer jacket makes sense for this, put your explosives inside, pack the space between the explosive and inner wall of the cooker with BBs, and the strong lid/upper pot goes upward while the sides burst and spray shranel relatively low to the ground. This is why there are so many amputees resulting from this.

Most IEDs we see in Afghanistan or the rest of the middle east are designdd primarilly for blast effects in order to kill as many as possible. Whoever did the Boston attack was looking to wound, not kill.

2. One of the bombs was placed very close to a tent set up for family and friends of the Hanford, Connecticut shooting. Could just be coincidence, but it does fit with the irea that tbis was an act of a domestic anti-government group, especially when you considet my next point.

3. The attack took place in Boston, MA on a local holiday called "Patriots Day" and on the last day of the US Federal tax season.

Boston is regarded by many to be the birthplace of the US War of Independence, Patriot's Day a holiday celibrating this, it was Tax Day, one bomb really close to a tendful of secondaty victims of a highly visable shooting incident that sparked a flurry of gun control legislation, and bombs design to wound instead of kill. Don't know about you, but to me that sure as hell does not sound like to MO of Islamic terrorists.

Alastair Stevenson is a veteran marathon runner who has competed in dozens of marathons around the world, including the London Marathon. He’s very familiar with the security typically found at marathons, and he immediately noticed something odd about the Boston marathon security.

What is SHOCKING is the fact that there are over 50 million Americans without access to health care.

What is SHOCKING is that the USA spends about $8000 per person per annum on health care and yet the quality of health care delivered in the USA is ranked 47th in the world - almost developing country status.

What is SHOCKING is the fact that the USA spends more than double on health care PER PERSON, than the next OECD nation. Australia spends less than half on health (~ $3300 per person per annum) and we have a Universal health system that is ranked in the top 5 in the world.
