I didn't like that either but for that one they had loyally supported Howard for 11 years and were dragged kicking and screaming to that position by public opinion. It was not their prefered option it was just that they had been supporting him for so long that the public woke up.

It took a very long time for the media to end its love-affair with Rudd and realise what a monumental cock-up he was. Ever since then, the media's been much more careful in how it reports on this Labor government and rightly so. It might seem to some as though Labor is being hounded to a political grave by the media, but that's only because Labor provides almost all of the fodder...

I remember the headlines in the Murdoch empire... Mr 76% RUDD....

dont recall any lefty complaining about that! was it also a lie do you think? after all when these polls come in we only have their word for it dont we...and if its in the murdoch rags it must be a lie.

I seem to remember our lefty chums gloating over that record.

I have no doubt that if DRAH, (or I for that matter) found themselves in that position they would be just as corrupt.

Spare a thought for young Rupert; I'd bet he was happier then.

when you think of the money Bond has got away with over the years and still is from what I can make out....its the lenders that need looking at

if we want govt to control who owns what in this country. then it may as well be control over everything...look at what Happened in NSW mining??? [ICAC]all because of one man.in govt one man with POWER...and he didnt own a newspaper.
