I find it extremely difficult to believe that Herb's views are typical even within his generation.

But I'll just point out yet again the hilarity of an immigrant from the UK with prejudices such as his,
grandstanding about importing people to this country with intolerant views.

The poms were lucky - it only cost them 10 pounds to migrate to our wonderful country and they weren't fleeing persecution. Today our migrants have to fork out thousands of dollars - often to escape tyranny, but also to seek a peaceful life for their children who will mostly grow up to be productive citizens.

There is no need to deny people freedom of religion or even screen immigrants on the basis of religion. You just need to screen out immigrants who reject democracy, human rights etc, however they wrap their views in whatever platitude they think you want to hear. This would keep out people like Abu and Falah, and the hate preachers. Immigration already do character evaluations. This would not be too burdensome. It is not too hard to suss out when someone is pretending to support democracy and human rights, like Abu tried to for a long time.

I can understand why Aussie made this comment and it can be directed at anyone with a fixed mindset who believes the only real criminals are drunk aborigines, Asians, Muslims or any other dark skinned person.

Why do you find it necessary to resort to gross exaggeration and a fictionalised version of what I believe in?

Taking refuge in imagined scenarios that bear little resemblance to the truth is not very conducive to an intelligent and honest debate.

You create a fictionalised character and then expect me to defend it.

This is not only a pointless exercise, but is a diversion away from the realities myself and others are trying to bring to your attention.

By this, am I to assume that you yourself are admitting to racist feelings of xenophobia and bigotry, and you've found it 'difficult' to accept finding yourself a stranger in your own street / neighbourhood / suburb / city?

There was never any 'inevitability' that Australia had to be flushed full with not European immigrants, but coloured Third Worlders of every race and religion except Christian.

This occurred by design. It was agreed in secret by the Fabians, and the One Worlders, and the International Socialists who have been embedded in successive Australian governments over the past 50 years that by a policy of Social Engineering, and enforced multiculturalism, and the mass immigration of alien races and cultures ~ the Anglo-Australian predominance would be diluted and watered down until it resembled nothing more than a very feeble shadow of its former self.

Woefully wrong.

You really mustn't spend so much time reading those Women's magazines, and watching Judge Judy, The Deal is Right, Home and Away, and Packed to the Rafters. (I'm sparing you the insult to your intelligence by supposing you DO NOT watch 'Footy').

The following generations will get worse, not better. My generation of Australian is the most tolerant we will ever see again.

The US and Britain are Australia's Crystal Ball to the future. Both in Britain and the US the races remain apart by mutual consent. The Home Boyz do their thing: Hip Hop, basketball, and Crime ~ while the Honkies do their own thing: Top 40, baseball, and reporting black crime.  Cool

Any difficulty understanding my lecture so far?  Cool

Good.

Please get back to me if you have any questions.

You've nailed it.

Congratulations.

A Checklist in Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Bahasa Indonesia and other Muslim languages needs to be drawn up to determine the cultural, moral, political, and mental health compatibility of immigrants and refugees wishing to settle here.

(Personally I would stop all Muslim immigration immediately, but for those who are still naive about the true nature of what Islam asks of its followers, let's pretend ... )

Here's the Checklist (with references to Islamic Sacred Text).

Enjoy.

Especially YOU, Mantra.  Tongue

But AUstralia isn't a democracy - its a pseudo Monarchial Corporatised Oligarchy - ie a variation of the US slave based corpocracy

the term "Democracy" is a Greek concept - it has a very specific meaning - demos (citizen) and kratia (state). The citizen controls the STATE and what it does, TOtal power resides in the citizenry.

And as we all know, elections are irrelevant and total formality farce anyway.

As far as human rights are concerned - I suggest that you have a conversation with the indigenous people of Australia - you will see how this country has violated their basic human rights - in fact if my memory serves me correctly, there were no humans in AUstralia according to the invading English. Ooops, sorry they then changed their minds in 1967 and decided to recognise the fact that this land was OCCUPIED by someone else prior to the theft and genocidal programs implemented from London.

And perhaps you could ask the Aboriginal people in the NT why the Howard, Rudd and Gillard puppet governments had to SUSPEND the anti-discrimination acts in order to intervene in the NT.

And while you are at it, ask the asylum seekers whether their human rights are observed by the AUstralian authorities

There are only 2 nations on the planet that practise illegal detention without charge of children - the USA and good old Australia

Educate yourself about the real history of this nation and how the power structures work in Australia before you gallop in here and claim that somehow AUstralia is a democratic state that upholds human rights

I was generalising in response to Aussie's post. It wasn't a personal attack. We all perceive reality differently by looking at different angles of a scenario. I haven't felt the racist hate and jealousy that some people experience. A thug is a thug no matter what his creed, colour or religion.

No I'm not admitting to racist feelings, but I do get annoyed with our ever burgeoning population when it impacts on my life eg. traffic jams, overcrowded shops etc. Even certain types of Christians and Jews are irritating and are comparable to fundamentalist Muslims in their ideology.

This I agree with, but as this process is probably two thirds complete - we can't turn back time. Look at the positives - all those beautiful little children who are being created through inter-racial unions. They will adapt to the Australian climate far easier than those of us with English heritage.

I only watch Judge Judy. Roll Eyes

I believe the younger generation is more tolerant unless their parents have brainwashed them otherwise. If we want our kids to be generous of spirit, we don't have to pass our bigotry onto them. It will only make their life harder.

The biggest mistake any government ever made was under the Coalition in 2002 when John Howard introduced dual citizenship. This divided Australia. During the invasion of Lebanon by Israel - we had the Jews and Lebanese returning to their "homeland" to fight each other.

Why not? Not going soft on me are you? You'd rather grope me than grind my head under your stiletto heels, is that it? God! You women are all the same. You only want one thing. My mother warned me about women like you. Cool

That had nothing to do with citizenship. They were welcomed back on a temporary basis.

The one difference with all of these ethnic Australians returning to fight for their countries of origin is that those joining up to fight for Palestine only needed to see themselves as fellow-Muslims.

If the fight was (Muslim) Chechnya against the Russians ~ that would be enough for our Muslims to join. You haven't quite worked it out yet, Mantra, but they're not on our side. They hate our allies ~ and they hate our soldiers being on 'their land' in Iraq, Afghanistan, wherever.

It's nice to be nice, Mantra, but we must be careful not to let our sense of decency be our undoing with regard to Muslim ambitions for predominance in our own homeland.

We saw what happened when Europe's Jews went Quietly into the Night like lambs to the slaughter.

Wait, your comparing the treatment of jews in nazi germany to the treatment of non-muslims in Australia? 2 per cent of the population are going to start herding everyone else into gas chambers are they?  Cheesy

Good morning, goindaft! On patrol again, I see. Looking for stubborn sods who STILL believe they have a right to decide which races, which cultures, and which religions should be given admittance to the Australian homeland.

It offends people like you that people like me have the moral audacity to want to choose and discriminate as to just who is allowed to settle in the Australian homeland.

Not at all. It only offends me to see stupid analogies used to make your point.

As for your "right" to choose to abolish muslim immigration - both major political parties have adopted a bi-partisan policy in favour of a non-discriminatory multiculturalism, and the electorate has never disputed that, despite having many opportunities to do so. It seems that you and your minority view doesn't have such a right after all.

I have seen Abu concede defeat on this front and say that the government is cutting back on Muslim immigration. Any idea what that was about?

Haven't heard that FD. Do you have any figures?

There are certainly no shortage of refugees from Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq. And inevitably soon from Syria. Maybe they are compensating for this by reducing the skilled intake from muslim countries?

What I always find silly is people like Herb always rail against muslims importing their ideology from their muslim homeland - when most of the time they are getting away from those places because they hate them so much.

Many of the UK's home grown terrorists are first generation children of such immigrants - people who fled the craziness of the middle east, but now their own children are importing it.

No I don't have any figures. It just seemed like an unusual thing for him to say, so it stuck in my mind.
