Putting aside the logical fallacy of reductio ad Hitlerum contained in the OP, it will be interesting to see what occurs in Hungary over the next few years if the economic situation gets worse.

I predicted some time back that the countries of the Eastern Block will move to the Right before those of the West. There is still a barbarism lying beneath the people of Eastern Europe that can easily be tapped into by some savvy leader. The Western countries, though, have been thoroughly emasculated and I can't see any change there soon.

Just wait until our economy hits a real rough patch and then we'll see how much harmony there really is in Australia. Just like what is happening in Europe. The people that love these policies will cordon off their neighbourhoods so the civil unrest won't reach them. I appreciate the effort your making at colourful prose JC; but you really ought to strive for some kind of accuracy. What I'm for is the common folk who just want to raise families in peace and security and aren't much into megalomania. What I'm against is totalitarianism; and there aint been a totalitarian who didn't kill a lot of common people yet.
