1st Zero Emission City?

Quote:
Abu Dhabi is known for its incredible wealth largely due to the oil industry, but what might be less known is that they are envisioning a future without oil. Masdar City is poised to be the first zero-emission, skyscraper-free city. Vehicles are not permitted within the city limits. Instead, mass transit will be available to help traverse the city.

Just outside the city, solar and wind farms will provide electricity. Geothermal energy will be harnessed through the world’s largest hydrogen power plant. Masdar City will welcome many clean energy companies to set up shop and will even provide the headquarters for the International Renewable Energy Agency.

By the time it is completed in 2025, 40,000 residents and 50,000 commuters will be able to live and work in Masdar City with the goal of becoming the world leader in clean energy research and technology.

Zero emissions?

What about all the diesel fuel that gets burnt because they were not smart enough to build a sewer system and have to truck the sewerage out?

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.

Sounds like it. Look what the Muselmen invented - a sustainable city.

Not as good as the stick, but one should give credit where credit's due.

A lot of sand in the UAE i wonder how efficient the windturbines and solar panels are after a good sandblasting.

A lot of rape victims get jailed in the UAE thanks to sharia (gods) law.

Dubai is being promoted as a luxury high class paradise in the desert, but the reality is brutally different as Australian Alicia Gali discovered.

Gali was using her laptop in the hotel's staff bar when her drink was spiked. She awoke to a nightmare beyond belief, she had been savagely raped by three of her colleagues, alone and frightened she took herself to hospital.

What Alicia didnt know is that under the UAE's strict sharia laws, if the perpetrator does not confess rape, a rape cannot be convicted without 4 adult muslim male witnesses.
She was charged with illicit sex outside marriage and thrown in a filthy jail cell for 8 months

That is unimportant baron!

Annie says;

"Abu Dhabi is 1st Zero Emission City!!!     Yaaaay!"

And in !!emission free!! Dubai its official, if a French teenager is sodomised,
.....he is a 'HOMOSEXUAL'.

But Abu Dhabi is a Zero Emission City!!!

Quote:

"MODERN" DUBAI SAYS MALE VICTIMS OF MALE RAPE ARE HOMOSEXUALS
....."They immediately reported the crime, going in person to the local police station. But Alex says the police doctor who examined him that night seemed intent on proving there was no rape, just a consensual sexual act between three men and a 15 year-old gay boy. "
.....16-year-old French-Swiss Alexandre Robert and his mother Veronique were the perfect example of Dubai's cosmopolitan makeup. Alex was living in Dubai when he says he was gang raped at knifepoint, beginning an ordeal that has shed light on how Dubai's justice system treats victims of violent sex crimes.
