Maybe you could borrow a Gitmo from Obama - he doesn't want his.
Yes, yes apparently that's the case.
Or rather thats what he told the American people when campaigning.
So interesting in Jan 2011 he signed into law the Defense Authorization Bill which places restrictions on transferring of detainees from Gitmo facility to the US mainland - which prevents the ability to close the facilities......
Me thinks some y'all fell for his play hook, line and sinker.
Well said.
Obama played the Lefty sob-sisters like a violin. He 'worked the crowd' with romantic promises that under his administration the US would reclaim its moral credentials by closing down Gitmo for being a stain upon America's reputation for fairness and transparency.
Needless to say, once in office he was soon made privy to the successes that had been gained at Guantanamo Bay, and the reasons why it should continue to function offshore from the US mainland.
Made a lot of sense to him once he was apprised of all the facts, and hence his backflip.
Same with Julia and Nauru.
And speaking of 'back-flips' ~ there are going to be an awful lot of shame-faced and embarrassed Labour voters doing a back-flip this coming 14th September.
Maybe even Mr Grey and Peter Freedman will be performing a back-flip at the polling booths worthy of Circus Oz or Cirque du Soleil...
