The further offensive language (blocked out) included the words, 'with red box.'  No attempt at all to hide its sexist nature.

At least it was just written on a menu - not spewed out for the entire population to hear.

Gillard will sink the ALP even further than being predicted now - stupid menus or no...

It was PRINTED on a carefully thought out and PREPARED menu for a Liberal Party function, and I'm sure they all had a huge giggle at it.  Not now, given the sh1t has hit the fan.

Brough has now been forced to admit it was deeply offensive and sexist.

Pity there will likely be photos of him holding the menu with a stupid smirk on his face.

The Liberal Party is a haven for sexism right down to grass roots, and there is no point denying it.

LOL

A dumb menu (everyone has seen these "jokes" before) V's a dumb PM spewing forth her hatred for all to see.

Yesterday I was sighing because Gillard fired up the gender wars once more. But reading today's news I am left wondering exactly how f***ked the liberals still are when it comes to casual sexism and racism.

Now there's an obviously neutral point of view........ Grin sighing and buggered........

I think there's far more "casual sex" (whoops..ism) in the labor mob just ask Craig....  Grin

I'd say her point has been quite well demonstrated by the two d1ckheads and their lovely deranged imbecile fundraiser organizer.

Of course it's offensive and shouldn't have been done, but how is Tony Abbott to blame for it? As far as I am aware, he wasn't even at the function.

It's like how people were trying to blame him for Alan Jones 'died of shame comments'.

Gillard, on the other hand, made thosse offensive and sexist comments about men herself.

It demonstrates beyond any doubt just how deeply rooted within the Liberal Party, even at grass roots, sexism thrives.  The tail always takes the lead from the head.

Now, let's see whether Mr Abbott is consistent, or is this going to be another clear demonstration of his basic dishonesty.  He called for Slipper to be sacked when he (Slipper) used inappropriate language and Slipper eventually resigned over it.

Quote:
Peter Slipper has narrowly survived a vote to remove him from the parliamentary Speaker's position amid a blistering and personal debate over accusations of sexism.

Tony Abbott took the unusual step of calling for a vote to immediately sack the Speaker, following revelations he used offensive language to describe female genitalia.

The comment was revealed in a text message sent by Mr Slipper to his stood aside staffer James Ashby, that have since been tendered to the Federal Court as part of a sexual harassment case.

I regret to speak in this way to this house, but it is necessary... to prosecute this matter - the vile anatomically specific language to which this Speaker appears to be addicted.
    Tony Abbott

Mr Abbott has described the language as "vile" and has demanded Labor dump him from the role.

"This is obviously a rare and unusual step that I take at the start of Question Time today, but it is a necessary step," Mr Abbott told Parliament, in moving a motion to have Mr Slipper removed.

"This Speaker is disqualified from high office - not by the fact of the legal action currently on foot against him. But he is disqualified by the undenied, uncontradicted facts that have emerged in the course of this case.

"There are the truly gross references to female genitalia.

"I regret to speak in this way to this house, but it is necessary... to prosecute this matter - the vile anatomically specific language to which this Speaker appears to be addicted."

I’d say it has nothing to do with her point.

This menu thing is childish crap and those responsible should have no part in government/parliament.

Gillard’s comments were the type of crap you see on here from desperate morons.

Has anyone even confirmed that this menu actually exists? no one has even confirmed seeing it and all we have is a journos phone camera pic of something that for all we know he printed up himself.

A little confirmation would be helpful.

I have to agree with Aussie, it shows at least some Libs hold very disrespectful, sexist views.
I also find Aboott's response very telling, as it avoids any acceptance of wrongdoing, and lacks the apology thaat should have been immediately forthcoming.
Sexist and classless.
