You are correct in the sense that this is going nowhere in a national context. But it sure is going somewhere in his Electorate, where people (especially LNP Members in the Fisher Sub-Branch) are just adding this scandal to a growing list involving Brough. This is a rising tide, and it will not take much from here for the grass roots within his own Branch to tap him on the shoulder.

The Libs will probably just endorse Slippery Pete for the seat again - just as they have done for the past decade.

He is their sort of guy.

This entire thing is an attempt by Julia Gillard to grab onto anything because she is about to lead her party to decimation at the hands of the Australian people, who are quite clearly fed up with the Government and its performance.

I dispute that this issue is of no relevance. It may well cost Brough LNP endorsement, and justify Gillard's outburst earlier this week. Sexism is alive and well within the LNP, it seems.

Those people who cannot see that this is the ALP again attempting to make this a personal set of attacks to try and divert from policy discussion or performance on record - they need their head tested.

Yet again - like with the claims against Abbott the other month - it is the ALP bringing personal insults into it and the debate off of politics and into the gutter.

Fortunately the media aren't buying it (the story is on Page 9 today) and the people have stopped listening.

Poor form of them to yet again attack the man and not debate policy and whats best for the country.
