So mantra, your comments really don't match the person I met at all.

mantra is a LW prog hater, Andrei... she still obsesses over Howard and what she thinks of Abbott is largely unrepeatable.  Don't expect logic or rationality there.

i can provide quotes.  Grin

Is it possible for you to actually post anything political instead of your usual off topic rhetoric. Attack the post - not the poster.

The rusted on denial you speak of seems to be coming pretty much from the Abbott supporters.
Yesterday we had all the libs singing from the same handbook that they had been coached to by the party spin doctors.
"infantile prank", I don't remember seeing that" etc.
There was no, outraged denial, as we would certainly have gotten if they really did have no knowledge of this menu, as they now claim.

The restaurant owner taking the fall now seems way to pat and the only people who would accept his story without question are those prepared to put their own common sense aside because it is easier than asking the relevant questions that this demands.

If it was a private joke between him and his sons, how did staff get a hold of printed copies?
Did he make any copies to share his clever joke with any people other than his sons?
If so, who, when, and where?

I do not take this man's word, because what he has said so far, does not make adequate sense.

You may want to refer to the Editor of the Herald Sun Damon Johnston, Mozza.

He rated it this morning as "nothing more than a Page 9 story".

The "Herald Sun".

Grin

That's the "news"paper with an Andrew Bolt column, right?

Grin

This gets funnier by the day.

"The restaurant owner and the editor of the Herald Sun said so. It must be true!"

That's right. Alan doesn't think it's a story either. It's just typical leftard temper-tantrums.

A complete distraction from real political issues - as usual. Meanwhile, JuLiar is getting away with the most atrocious pants suits and those ridiculous Dame Edna Everage glasses. To think she represents our country like this.

SHAME LABOR SHAME.

Brough should stand down from pre selection  and Matty should replace him, it is the only honourable thing to do. It won't happen though, phoney Tony is too afraid of Matty taking the leadership.

Agreed, Skippy. Mr Brough has already apologized. He should fall on his sword and allow Matty to take the seat. It's the only honourable thing to do.

I doubt Mr Abbott would be too happy, but if the Libs intend to govern in the interest of all Australians, they should preselect Matty - from Dunedin.

Yet the reality says Brough or the owner is lying.  Brough made a statement at midday BEFORE the fall guy made his. YET the fall guy says he had no contact with Brough, so who is lying, Einstein?

No one in their right mind LW or otherwise would keep on about this menu thing now the facts are out.  That is rusted-on denial or the way of Conspiranuts.

LOL

"the facts"   Grin

An email from the restaurant owner who hosted the Liberal Party dinner?

A restaurant owner who thought the menu was funny?

LOL

The guy has zero credibility.

"facts"   Grin  You're a funny guy Grendel.

Utter Bulltish, this man is obviously lying, and what is worse is it is a dumb, crap lie.
IF HE WASN'T SUCH AN OBVIOUS FREAKIN CRETIN, HE COULD HAVE COME UP WITH A BETTER LIE, A CREDITABLE LIE.

His lie is predicated upon it being a private joke for him and his sons.

If you look at the whole menu, you might see down the bottom, "You will be served Liberal amounts of wine", does that sound like a joke intended for his son, or a joke to impress his liberal party buddies?

I do not believe this guy's story, and I doubt many, or any, reasonable people would.

Absolute nonsense. Any Liberal fundraiser that didn't take the fight to Labor and Juliar's hideous red box would not be doing its job - raising funds for Mr Brough's preselection campaign and attacking the opposition's body parts.

Thoughts?
