Menugate a scam - when will the apologies come?
Jun 13th, 2013 at 8:52am

When will the likes of Plibersek, Rudd, Emerson and Gillard herself apologise for claiming that Brought and Hockey had any involvement in the matter? Who will do so first?

They won't, because he was involved. You should be given that seat Mattty. The Liberal party needs an honest person in there, we all know you have never told a lie, EVER, have you?

There'll be no apologies from anybody in that crowd. The restaurant owner who together with his son made up the silly menu, which WAS NOT distributed, as an IN-HOUSE joke. One of their staff got hold of it and posted it online WITHOUT their knowledge or permission.  Labrats will make as much of a "big deal" of it as they can, it's the only thing they've got to cling to as they look down the barrel of a massive defeat.

I think the restaurant owners should apologise to chickens, how dare they associate such a noble creature like a chicken with a repugnant toxic politician like Gillard.

I agree, Matty. JuLiar should apologise for having big thighs and being flat as a tack.

I think she should stand down.

Exactly. The question this scandal begs, is when will Matty throw his hat in the ring?

Thoughts?

So. at midday, Brough was aware that the menu had been drawn up by a non-party member, who was now deeply apologetic.

But wait … how could Brough have known this, if Richards didn’t contact him until later in the day?

Remember, Richards didn’t write his letter to Brough until after seeing the story on the evening news.

And in his letter, which was subsequently distributed by the LNP, he stated the following:

As you know no one at the dinner was privy to such a menu, and it is so unfortunate that an in-house joke between myself and my son has caused you great problems and embarrassment.

How, then, could Brough have known that Richards ‒ a non-party member ‒ was responsible for the menu when the ABC article was published at midday?

Thoughts?

A bit of a coincidence that the owner come out 3 months after the fact and owned up to it isn't it.

Why did both Brough and Hockey feel the need to apologise if it was the restaurant owner? This morning sunrise asked one of the restaurant staff if the menu was on the tables during the function, the staff member replied that she wasn't allowed to answer, but she added that they'll have to 'read between the lines' ... you know how to do that don't you scrotum? Read between the lines that is ... You need help? if the menu was NOT on the tables why would she not be allowed to say so? Surely it's in everyones best interest for her to verify the owners 'facts' if they were true? Unless of course the owner was worried that the truth wouldn't support his position.

My thoughts are JuLiar should apologize to Mr Brough, who is a thoroughly upstanding man in every way. Then, she should resign.
