Which totally missed the point. The argument that was being put forward was that since homosexuality happens in the animal kingdom then it is perfectly natural for humans as well.
And so far that hasnt been refuted.
Quote:However, if we take our cues from the animals as to what is right or wrong, then;
Rape happens in the animal kingdom. Rape must be fine.
Rape is an act of violence and there is a clear victim and that victim is massively traumatised by the experience.
Quote:Incest happens in the animal kingdom. Incest must be fine.
Well, depending on where you live, it is fine.
Quote:Bestiality (two different species) happens in the animal kingdom. Bestiality must be fine.
Prove it. I dont believe you.
Quote:Paedophilia (an older animal having sex with - what would be by human standards considered under age - a younger animal) happens in the animal kingdom. Paedophilia must be fine.
Again, Paedophilia is an act of violence and the younger party is usually traumatised by the act. Also, prove that it happens in nature. Sexual maturity is a thing.
Quote:Eating your mate after sex happens in the animal kingdom. Cannibalism after sex must be fine.
Again, and act of violence that traumatises one of the parties.
Quote:There is a lot of stuff that happens in the animal world that we would not permit in human society.
Yeah, most of the violent ones.
Quote:If we are to justify homosexuality based on actions by animals than the door is opening to justify anything.
Except the violent ones.
The whole thrust of the "it occurs in nature" argument is to show that the right wing buggerstick "its not natural" argument is complete bollocks.
Look, if you want to be so smacking pig ignorant that you think society cant tell the difference between an act of love between two consenting adults, and rape, then just bugger off. There is no place for you here.
