Everyone is getting too worked up, relax....Tony Abbott  will lead the Liberals to victory in the next Federal Election.

Before the Election the snake oil salesman, currently wearing a 'halo' as part of his swag will be found out for the fraudster he is.

He is a false prophet and the only thing he can bring to this Country is disaster on a grand scale .

He has already achieved this, with a border policy which is a dog's breakfast and now we have 45,000 illegals to provide for  the rest of their natural lives. They only have one skill, that involves putting their hands out to Centrelink...ahhh the land of  milk and honey.

It's interesting to see how stupid the author of this thread really is

Have you seen Turnbull's numbers before Abbott took over??

So despite those low numbers - you are still wanting Turnbull to lead

This can only mean you are truly afraid of Abbott despite Rudd's poll bounce

And when/how will he stop the boats red?

Don't run away again.

Answer the question.

Come on Maqqa,
Turnbull is just too left wing for you -
he's a man with principles.
I think I could even vote for him & that's  saying a lot.  Shocked

WTF are you talking about bobby - I am a huge fan of Turnbull and thought he should have been elected ahead of Nelson

The reality is his numbers were terrible.

He was smashed by Rudd in the polls by Utegate

Now Rudd's back - leftards are calling for Turnbull to return

So the sentiment is from leftards for Rudd's return is for fear of Abbott. There are no previous leadership polls that says Turnbull will give the Coalition a win

Remember that Rudd's numbers dropped when Abbott came in

Crap!

I want Abbott to stay exactly where he is.

The ALP have a decent chance of winning the next election with that cretin leading the Liberal Party.

With Malcolm leading them Kev would really have his work cut out for him.

Leave the mad monk where he is: I want to watch Ruddy wear him down.

(I'd support Malcolm as leader if Julia were leading the ALP, but not with Ruddy there.)

So there are no leftards on here who is able to compare Turnbull's and Abbott's numbers while they were/are in their respective leadership period??

Every couple of months you get a leftard crazy enough to raise the Turnbull issue - even when Gillard was sitting on 29%

Until such time that Abbott's person numbers dips below 14% - leftards have no case for pushing the Turnbull candidacy other than the fact you are afraid of Rudd facing Abbott at the next election

Please keep Abbott, please!  Abbott hasn't even got the gonads to face Rudd in a debate next Wednesday at the Press Club!  Turnbull would have leapt at the chance to wipe the floor with Rudd.

Rubbish - Turnbull is your trump card if the polls worsen for Abbott.

Stop lying Maqqa.

Keep Abbott exactly where he is!

He is the ALP's (second) best chance of winning the next election.

We do NOT want Turnbull as leader.

In another Thread, melielongtime was desconstructing the demise of Gillard as some preconceived grand plan to offer up Rudd just in time to save the ALP.  He said the 'clever' people could see it all in retrospect.  In reply, I suggested that 'clever people' would have predicted it.  So......

I'm not claiming to be 'clever' but I do wonder now whether Abbott has been (very successfully) running as a decoy/shepherd (seriously wounding those in the other Team) so that Turnbull can emerge fresh faced, not a hand upon him and full of charm with the ball, not far out from the line, to score the try?
