Turnbull could beat Gillard, but I doubt whether he could beat Rudd.

Abbott expended so much political capital demonising Gillard, that he may not have enough credibility to defeat Rudd.


All lefties want is Abbott not to be PM.   Rudd v Abbott is a good chance as Rudd could beat him fair and square.
Abbott then would be banished as leader forever for losing two winable elections.

But a Rudd v Turnbull contests guarantee's Abbott wont make PM this term, but likely to be reinstated opposition leader if Turnbull lost, or dropped in the polls.
