An election has not been called yet.

There is no need to call an election yet.

We have until November 30.

No one is hiding anything.

There is nothing to see here.

So the announcement of a sept 14 election date turns out to be just another failed labor announcement.  the economy stumbles under the paralysis of an election campaign for the past 6 months only to find it wasnt an election campaign after all.. ONly labor could possibly mess so much up at the same time.

I seem to remember many cheering because Howard was holding on to the job by  his claws till the last possible moment before calling an election??

but he announced one election data 6 weeks out, not a FAKE date 9 months out and then change their mind and their PM.

amateur hour.

Yes and the economy is doing great with the uncertainty thanks to Tony's SCRAP THIS and SCRAP THAT sloganeering.

The little dancing pony in Canberra is trying to find a date when all the planets align so that he can have another 3 years of stuffing this Country over.

The longer it is until the Election, the better the public have a chance to get over Kevin's little Halo act and see him for what he is...

An incompetent who has butchered our border protection and who has run us into 300 billion dollars debt to the Chinese.

Red red red. Name One PM that has not decided the timing of an election?  Or shut up. You sound much brighter when you don't post.

It's permeated the entire forum.

Fascinating to watch.

You should see the Austerity post for desperation..I'm surprised you haven't called it yet.

Or do you only get ya knickers all knotted when its the other team  Grin Grin

"ya knickers all knotted"?

What are you talking about?

I'm not upset about anything: quite the opposite.

I'm thoroughly enjoying watching the Libs panic.

It's wonderful.

this supposed liberal 'panic' is interesting. would you care to point out a single post that has panic in it. The margin has shrunk as predicted but Abbott remains firmly in front so not only am I not panicking I dont see anyone else on her doing so or in public life. IN fact I dont see any analysts even predicting Rudd will win.

melielongtime, don't you get tired of writing that sort of garbage?  Sept 14 was Gillard's whom, I think you actually know, is no longer PM.  The election date is now Rudd's to nominate and just like all his predecessors, he will name the date when he wants to as is his right.

Hallelujah , the Titanic lives! But only just.

The more time that Kevin takes, the more he will be revealed as a little dancing pony with no substance. His track record is abysmal, what evidence is there to suggest that he has anything new in his bag. Only the faces have changed, it is still a greatly divided Party and is hanging on by its rocky old legs.

Abbott needs to come in with the sword and give Labor a quick clean kill, then he can get on with repairing the Country, I don't envy him that job.

So if the longer it goes on the better for Abbott, why do you care if he hasnt declared a date as yet?

Because I for one run a business that has had govt paralysis causing it some difficulty.  Private enterprise sales are up 15% but govt is down 40% and most of the reduction came as soon as the election was announced even tho it turns out it isnt going to be the election data anyhow.

An election wasn't officially called.

The Prime Minister will call one when he sees fit.

I predict it will be a Saturday.

love that hypocrisy... you complain with the libs dont have policies and when they announce on that involves change (imagine that!) you complain yet again.  I have a lot of business contacts and the major discusion point among them is to get this damned election done and dusted because business is suffering by the indecision just as ever election campaign does.  the trouble is at this rate, the election campaign could end up be almost the entire year!!!  labor stuffups because they are more interesting in political advantage than the economy.

Poor Greggerry, living in the rarefied air along with such luminaries as Skippy, John Smith etc.

Enjoy your false dawn, savour it, drink it because it is the only cup of joy to pass by your lips between now and the Election.

Election night will be the stuff of the slashing of wrists for Labor tragics.

So enjoy the false dawn, because that's exactly what it is a false dawn for a false prophet .i.e. KRudd

The red-headed bitch was the first to name a date that wasnt actually the date and 9 months in advance to boot.  So the economy goes into election-mode paralysis only for 6 months later the election campaign is now OFF. And worse, it is subject to the decision-free zone that is Rudd.  What are the chances that Rudd is even able to make that decision without the GG doing it for him?  Do you recall Rudd actually making a decision in the past without 15 enquiries?
