Hi Whitey,
as an expert on the Bible what views has Longweekend got which
are against the teachings of Christ?

This will be interesting as Longweekend portrays himself as a holier than thou saint.

Whitey
Quote:
Longweekend like all Christians must measure their views by the words of Jesus.  He kicks the poor and marginalized at every opportunity, yet Jesus said give to him who has not.  Longweekend  defends the tax exempt status of non charitable religious institutions like Hillsong yet Christ himself paid the secular tax.  The teachings of Christ are pure socialism, greed, selfishness, exclusion, aggression, ect have no place in his teachings.  Jesus taught equality, justice, charity and mercy.  Those who seek to punish and marginalize the poor during times of prosperity and then seek to punish them again during times of famine are diabolical.  Famine and Prosperity is something that should be shared collectively and equally.  Many have recognized that the gospel is with the poor, they are the voices of truth, the voices of Christ himself...

Very well written Whitey.
It shows you have a better understanding than Longweekend of the Bible message.

He's the kind of guy who would kick someone when they were down.

That's what churches with the prosperity message do to their flock.

The world is theirs to give them prosperity & not for everyone.

cheers
Bobby

What will the  Abbott austerity program consist of?

Maybe the Libbos on this forum have some inside information
on what we should expect under an Abbott government?

Will we look like Greece as per this picture of riots?

No joke buddy.

The question is when will the austerity riots start?

By Xmas or maybe next year?

Most responsible individuals are aware that constantly spending more than you earn will lead to inevitable financial disaster and a debt spiral.

Most responsible individuals are aware that they can't simply rely on other people to cloth, accommodate and feed them.

Most responsible individuals are aware that austerity is only necessary when Government has totally overspent and accumulated massive debt and that the onus for this austerity rests with the Govt that created the problem not the Govt that has to fix it....

So on 7 Sept, in an orderly fashion and not in a riot, most reasonable people should reject this incompetent mob before Aust turns into another bankrupt socialist failure

exactly.

However 'austerity' is not the only alternative to profligacy.  there is that much misunderstood notion among lefties of simply spending what you earn and no more.

Dear Longy,
it will be however quite sharp & brutal -
not only does Abbott have to make us live within our means -
he has to pay off Rudd's debt!

I hope the riots won't be like Greece?

don't be such a wanker.  Greeces austerity is a completely different beast.  All Abbott has to do is cut pointless wasteful spending and most of the problem is gone.  Greece hasn't had a balanced budget in liging memory.  Our last balanced budget was a mere 6 years ago.

Hi Longy,
so what you're saying is that you don't expect austerity riots in Australia
even though we already have 800,000 unemployed?

According to Roy Morgan we have 1.2 million unemployed and another 1.5 million under employed !!

Abort will have to hatch up many more work for the dole programs to get the figures down !!

If you take away the pile of minerals we have here we are not much different to greece. And joints like Tasmania and Victoria that have no resources are actually very similar to greece with a top heavy non productive public service and dependence on service industries as well as an overinflated housing market fueled by massive debt. Very similar to greece Wink
