The navy is there to carry out the orders of the govt and, as I said, stuff the international community and the media.
Have we no spines? Did we get them from Kmart?

If we had a government that took your actions we would be a rogue state, and deserve the consequences. Thank dog we don't have imbeciles that think like this in control we would jeopardise  our kids future.

No. We would simply be a state looking after our own interests.

I'm not going anywhere. I've seen too many aussies pushed out. The lebbo's can can and live out in the bush. You'd like tassie alevine. Plenty of do-gooders chaining themselves to trees. Just watch out for that creeping jesus Bob Brown. .

I like Hobart. Very nice town.

But, I don't uinderstand...if you don't like Sydney why are you going to stay there?  The lebbo's have no problem with Sydney it seems...only you do? Why would you force those without a problem to leave, when it is you who has the problem? Seems quite illogical.
Where do you live alevine?

Melbourne, Big Dave.  WAnna move? I'd love you to be here Smiley

I like Melbourne. People aren't shooting one another down there and it seems more friendly. Too cold though. Any other suggestions.

Perth? Adelaide? Ballarat? Bendigo? Brisbane? Gold Coast? canberra? You take a pick Big Dave Smiley It's a big country!

I know how to stop the boats- turn Australia into a toilet and nobody will want to come here. We are on the way to doing it.

A brilliant LW Conservative policy.
Sydney is turning into a toilet. I don't feel safe in much of it at all.

On the news every night -

Sydney taken over by gun toting cowboys.

Some of my family are from Lakemba. That was back in the 50's when it was part of Australia. Most of Sydney gives that place and it's surrounds a wide berth. That place has it's own rules.

this happened in England has done for years... yet we didnt even try to stop it..multi something or other its called...yeah right...we almost need a passport to go into some suburbs..

I am a believer in When in Rome do as the Romans do.. I know a lot do... but an awful lot dont maybe they dont really like us..
not the other way round.

It's too late now though. I like multiculturalism to a degree. But they have to pick the right people. They didn't think it through enough with the muslim Lebonese. Even the other arabs dislike them. It will get worse and will probably never get better. I just feel sorry for the poor young cop from the country who they throw in there trying to enforce Australian law. That's like painting a target on somebody.

dave they throw in those that have just left the academy in Goulburn... they all have to do at least 1 year in Sydney could be longer...my son in law got Marrickville..I mean rookies...

Marrickville!! He'd have some stories to tell. It's criminal. I was watching the news just now and a Lebonese kid got shot at Bexly. The bullet just missed his spine. He aint talking either. Some kid or old person  walking down a street is going to get hit by a stray bullet one day. It's just a big mess.

Has no one looked back over their shoulder.

The answer to this is screaming at you.

Under John Howard's policy of turning the boats back, only 2 boats got through in a year.

Once we get a Government who have a half an ounce of backbone and send the Navy off to refuel restock then escort the pirate boats back; it won't take long for word to get out amongst the freeloaders that they will do their 15K if they get on a boat.

Because pirates aren't exactly known for giving refunds to unhappy passengers.

It worked before and it will work again.

Once more I say loud and clear, Indonesian boats leaving Indonesia and crewed by Indonesians.

Just turn the bloody things around and send them back where they came from.

i don't think Tony is even talking about the Pacific Solution anymore. You know why Mr Baron Sir? times have changed. New policy is needed.

Didn't seem to be a problem last time if I recall. Aussie...You see KRudd has taught the malingerers a trick or two under his stewardship.

There is always a solution but that weak turd Rudd won't make the hard decisions.

Yes, but they have learned.  The situation now is not what it once was.  They know that as soon as they see our Ships on the horizon they can scuttle.

What do you suggest in that circumstance?  We make the conscious decision to let them drown?

A very simple solution:
Do not accept anyone who has not cleared Indonesian immigration when they exit that country for Australia.

They are all leaving Indonesia illegally. Insisting that they clear Indo immigration is basic act of regional good neighbourliness.  Who could possibly object?? The Indos should be kissing our arses for solving the problem for them.

is it illegal to exit a country without immigrations approval? I always thought that only applied when you enter a country.

Not sure on Indonesia.  Malaysia you have to go through immigration to exit. US you don't.

But Soren is again getting all confused, as per normal. You can't simply send people back based on the fact they "left Indonesia illegally."  Against refugee convention Smiley What we CAN do , and SHOULD DO, is work on the regional solution smithy offered up before.

I know that in many countries you have to go through immigration, but I always thought that was purely to prevent wanted crims, bail jumpers etc. from leaving the country.

Is it actually ILLEGAL to exit a country without clearing immigration first? I'm not asking because of Sorens solution, its just as ridiculous as most of his 'solutions', I just want to know because I am curious. I don't know why, but I never thought of it as illegal to exit a country without immigrations clearance.
