None of my in laws in Townsville, and there are a lot of them, hold or have ever had a passport.
They are infinitely more Australian than these naturalised lot from Asia or Africa - who carry Aussie passports.

Passports are not a measure of belonging.

I feel loyal to Australia but travel the world on a UK passport.

Refugees are no longer rubbish people. They are now desperate people escaping persecution who need our care and support.
