Malcolm Turnbull the most popular as Leader
Jul 19th, 2013 at 1:14pm

In the latest opinion polls Malcolm Turnbull rated a massive 61% approval rating dwarfing  both Rudd and Abbott  by over 20 percentage points.

It shows you what the Country thinks of  our Nation's leaders.

I think the Country is looking for a genuine Leader, one in whom they feel the Country's future will be in safe hands.

The Country has undergone a quantum leap since Malcolm was given a chance as Leader, the saying "cometh the hour, cometh the man" is never better suited to someone like Malcolm Turnbull as now.

He represents the voice of stability and good sense when Leaders are behaving like chooks with their heads off.

Turnbull is the kind of man that even Labor voters could vote for.

The Libbos are too stupid to change leaders.

They will lose because of it.

S&P affirms Australia's AAA credit rating

July 18, 2013

...

Ratings agency
Standard & Poor's has reaffirmed Australia's triple-A credit rating just months away from the federal election
.

Standard & Poor's issued the rating despite a recent fall in the country's terms of trade and a steep decline in the dollar in recent months.

The dollar brushed 90 US cents in recent weeks after spending the last couple of years hugging parity with the US dollar.

The stable rating has been maintained even after some deterioration in the country's public finances since the financial crisis.

The main reasons for Standard & Poor's vote of confidence include Australia's public policy stability, economic resilience, and flexible fiscal and monetary policy.

A credit analyst from Standard & Poor's, Craig Michaels, said Australia had a “strong ability” to absorb large economic and financial shocks, “as was demonstrated during the global recession in 2009.”

"[However], moderating these strengths are Australia's high external imbalances, dependence on commodity exports, and high household debt."

The agency notes Australia's public finances have “worsened” in the last few years, but the deterioration has been “more contained” than for many triple-A rated peers.

It also says it expects the general government sector's budget balance to post “relatively small and declining deficits as a share of GDP”.

This Country is crying out for a Leader with the qualities of Malcolm Turnbull. He has long been a favourite of mine.

If anything he is 'too good' to be a successful Politician.

It is his human qualities that the Public sees and identifies with.

I believe if the Liberals made him Leader, they would walk in the next election.

I would give serious thought to voting for the Liberals under Turnbull. Definitely not under Abbott. If the Libs would rather lose the unlosable election with Abbott than win it with Turnbull, it's their own loss. Abbott was never actually popular. He got a big kick from Julia's unpopularity, but they would have had the same with anyone at the helm. It was all down to Julia - all Abbott had to do was keep his mouth shut, which he had the sense to do.

Turnbull had his chance against Rudd the last time he was opposition leader, and was found wanting which was why he was removed.
