RUDD Annunces - All boat arrivals go to New Guinea

WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH!!!!

Rudd has just announced on television that all boat arrivals would now be transferred to New Guinea. This follows an agreement drawn up with the Prime Minister of New Guinea.

So now Rudd can announce that he has stopped the boats.

HOWEVER; this needs thinking through. Rudd would have given an iron clad guarantee that associated with the upkeep and maintenance of the boat arrivals would be underwritten by you the Australian Taxpayer; further, you can bet London to a Brick that there would be a heavy 'pick up' for New Guinea on top of the substantial aid money that this Country gives it.

It would have to be a huge 'kicker' for the New Guinea Government to give the nod to this one.

The Wizard of Oz has done it again, smoke and mirrors and whallah...the boats disappear, at least their occupants do, to New Guinea but the financial cost of this is going to be enormous and I will be tub thumping to find out how many billions of Australian Tax Dollars are tied up with this latest sleight of hand.

What a load of rubbish...what a load of rubbish..load of rubbish!

well the key is those who, like you say, are "country shopping" for Australia have just been told you can't do it by boat. That avenue is now completely, 100% closed. It's worse than Tony's turning back the boats. It guarantees no one can get here by boat.

This I believe is the best chance Rudd has of pulling the Ruddmat out from under the people smugglers and break their business model.
This should then stop the country shoppers in their tracks, and the genuine refugees should then access legal and safer UNHCR processes.
Abbotts not happy, I understand that.
But only because he wants to be the one to fix this issue.
