If Abbott interferes with Rudd's policy if and when he gets into government, it will show him to be a complete hypocrite.

So the Coaltion are to be forever stuck with Labor policies then Karnal.
Not in this lifetime anyway.
The Coalition have had their border protection policy tested years ago.
It works.
And when Rudds policy flops, it will change.
Nothing hypocritical about that.
Just common sense.

And if Labor's policy works, Abbott going back to the Pacific Solution - with offshore processing costing, what, about 2 billion dollars a year? - will seem like utter pigheadedness and hypocracy.

After all, he blamed Rudd for ditching the Pacific Solution. He's now going to dismantle the PNG fix?

He'll whinge now, but he'll keep every last bit of Rudd's plan.

It'll work too. It has to. Who's going to come to Australia to be sent to New Guinea?

Can you tell me how Rudd's solution will 'flop?'  I mean just saying it will 'flop' does not an argument make.

I can't find it on the internet - it was in the Herald Sun:

Out of the latest boatload of over 80 refugees only 22 men were sent to PNG.

The others are all being kept on Xmas island.

So much for Rudd's lies that they would all got to PNG.

Rudd is a liar.

(Assuming that to be true without a supporting link) the rest will follow when facilities are ready for them, including women and children.

You don't believe that Karnal. The human rights organistaions will do their best to stop people being sent to PNG. It just isn't realistic. You are just letting your political persausion dictate your opinion on the matter.

I believe it, and if the human rights organisations want to do something effective they will support this solution to the hilt so that we can all shove it right up Achmed the People Smuggler.  You can join us in that Dave unless you are one of those who want to see people drown or kids broken into pieces on the cliffs of Christmas Island.

Choose Dave.  Want to stop Achmed or stand idly by and do SFA while people perish at his hands, or worse, join Abbott in trying to undermine this bold move to bugger Achmed and his deadly business.
