On no, alevine, contrare...I'm bloody well cheering that they are not coming into Australia...howling the freaking roof down.

But I want the numbers, I want to know how much KRudd has sacrificed for doing a deal with the devil, because that's exactly what he has done.

alevine...I'm not a hypocrite, I am over the moon happy about the PNG thing. I mean left's face it, it's the biggest cook up in eons. Kevvy has rolled the dice, bet the lefties are steaming over this one.

But clever though, very clever.

The only thing I want to know are the numbers, they are going to be gigantic.

Like all Australian Taxpayers, we need to know the numbers, the are going to be ballistic.

From an LNP government, this "solution" would be shameful. From a Labor government it is disgusting.

Asylum seekers will be dumped in a third world nation, rife with disease, lawlessness and corruption.

All that will happen is that people smugglers will move part of their operations to Port Moresby. As in Indonesia, they will have no problem finding authorities to bribe.

Yes. That was my point.
A Labor Government doing this and some of its supporters prepared to support all in the vain desperation of winning at all costs.

Asylum seekers are fleeing with their lives. The Refugee Convention was written in the shadow of Auschwitz/Berkanau.

Many European Jews gladly settled in a third world nation - Palestine.

Yes, they did. First it was their homeland, second, they could build a nation in the desert.

What can asylum seekers build in the steamy jungles of PNG, among the headhunters?

If Abbot had announced this as an election policy can you imagine the weeping and wailing and lamentations?

Can you?

Instead a significant muted response, those crickets chirping are the sounds of lefty flexible outrage.

Effing hilarious from the hypocritical clowns.

Yep. It's somewhat shocking the support for the "Rush to the Right"

Does show up the "none more gullible than the general public" quote.

You are right.  They don't care.  But, their customers will.  They will pay Achmed the Smuggler for a chance to get them to Australia in a leaking unseaworthy boat via the high seas, but you can bet they will not pay Achmed for the same pleasure cruise to get them to Manus Paradise.  That is the point.  That is what Rudd has achieved with the co-operation of PNG.  He has done what everyone wanted done......nuke Achmed's business plan so that people stop taking the risk of drowning themselves and their kids because Achmed promised them 'Australia.'  Now, if they take that expensive risk, they get Manus Paradise.

That sucks, hey?

It's pretty funny seeing the cookie-cutter conservatives wailing "but what about the lurch to the right" and "what bout the morals" as if they wouldn't be giving this a standing ovation if it was the libs idea.

I will await to see the implementation, but yes, if it stops the boats I will be pleased, nothing inconsistent in my approach.

Now about that muted response from the left, you don't get a whiff of hypocrisy?  ffs on the drum they were complaining about mosquitos and jobs,  nuffin to do with being resettled in a UNHCR signatory country and free from persecution or being returned to home.   And the greens have displayed what they want, borders open for all, every one welcome.

Rudd has well and truly exposed the open secret of the left.
