John, your first point is trite and you know it. And you also know they have lied about PNG.
Your second point avoids the fact that this is how they have portrayed the decision about moving to an ETS, ie they have deliberately set out to try and fool the people that Julia's carbon tax is dead. And you know, because you are an intelligent person, that Labor is not going to have the numbers to effect this change, not now, not next July, not ever . . .unless the Greens & Libs support it, fat chance.
Your third point, where you say they are only talking about the leadership is untrue, John, you're fibbing too.
The handing back of the power to caucus to appoint the ministry gives factional power back to the unions. If you don't know that, you should.
So it's 3-0 to bogey.
1- trite or not, my comment is based on fact, yours was / is a lie
2- the fact is the are moving to an ETS one year earlier than originally planned. No one is saying the carbon tax is dead (,maybe a few journo's but they aren't in the ALP) , and I disagree with you about the numbers, If Abbott wins the election it becomes irrelevant, if Abbott loses the election his replacement (most likely Turnbull) will most likely vote to move to an ETS. Labor doesn't have the numbers now, true, but since he isn't going to recall parliament, that's irrelevant.
3- utter rubbish, only 50% of the power is to go to caucus, the other 50% to the members. That takes power away from the unions . the current situation is currently a majority of caucus to change leader. If you cannot see how that takes power from the unions you are blind or you refuse to open your eyes.
