The only politicians who'll get approval from me

are those who defend our borders with military force

Military force against asylum seekers?

Oh, what a brave little soul you are.

Aren't our border protection services doing a perfectly acceptable job?

Exactly how many people are there currently in Australia who have arrived secretly by boat, evaded immigration officials and then gone on to live here without detection?

How many are slipping through?

According to Julian Burnside our borders are 99.3% secure:

About 4 million people arrive in Australia each year by orthodox means: they come for business, holidays, study etc. If 25,000 a year arrive without authority, it is absurd to suggest that we have "lost control" of our borders. Our borders are close to watertight. Even if this year's rate of unauthorised arrivals continued (which is unlikely, given our history and geography), 25,000 unauthorised arrivals per year means that border control is effective in 99.3 per cent of cases. That is pretty good.

So - some 0.7% of entries to this country.  And of these, the vast majority are found to be genuine refugees and hence their entry is completely legal.

I pity those poor, scared, ignorant little people who think we need to use "military force" against anyone!  Poor little flowers must be scared of their own shadows!!

Almost every reffo was rubber stamped by the dogooder army wether they were here to get a job or start a drug dealing enterprise, or even more likely retire on centrelink benefits as according to the dept. of immigration 90% of them do.
