I've read the link, Nappy, and also watched Ch 9 News (just now) which says that this alleged 'new' boat is 'missing.' Anyway, tough tits for the passengers. They now have a choice......Manus Paradus and onto Nirvana, or go back home. Bet they go back home, and re-load. If I were them, I'd drop into Achmed on the way back, and get a refund.

I'll help. Until Manus Paradus gets up to scratch, the women and kids won't be sent there. For now....

*Family Meeting* (on Christmas Island.) Do you reckon they'll decide that Dad will go to Manus Paradus, then Mum and the kids will follow (when the place is made more suitable for them) and then all the Family go off happily to beautiful equatorial tropical Paradise PNG, or will they stay together and go back home, and next time, leave Achmed out of their travelling plans?

People smugglers send 10 new boats to test Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's resolve for PNG solution

PEOPLE smugglers are testing Kevin Rudd's new PNG Solution with up to ten boats on their way amid revelations the cost of the first year operation of an expanded Manus Island camp could exceed $1 billion.

The expected influx comes as a vessel which was overdue at Christmas Island yesterday was found by Australian rescuers with 30 passengers safe and well.

Asylum seekers who have arrived since the deal was signed have broken down in tears when told they would be taken to Manus Island and resettled in PNG.

Four boats carrying more than 250 people have arrived since Friday but only single adult men can be sent to PNG immediately with families to remain in Australia until facilities are ready, which could take until next year.

A group of 15 Vietnamese asked to be returned home from Manus Island at the weekend with the Australian government to give them hoes, wheelbarrows and shovels and $300 each to encourage them to remain in Vietnam as farmers and not attempt to sail to Australia again.

These 'Turn back the boats assholes (and yes, you are assholes) remind me of the
putrid filth that turned-away Jews fleeing from Hitler, while knowing all along what
they were fleeing from.

Although not blatantly advertised, it was simply because they were Jews.

The current mob of xenophobes are no different, and no better.

And I hold them at a similar level of disgust and contempt.

2. Only single men over 18 will be sent to PNG, as the facilities there are unsuitable for women and children. Watch for a surge in families with children coming by boat. Also, watch for single men claiming that this woman is his wife and those kids are his. He won't get sent to PNG.

3. Free to roam on PNG, so what's to stop them paying some PNG fisherman to take them the short distance to the Australian mainland?

havent seen those news headlins pansi.. sorry...been too busy getting the news about a new prince?????..
