72 virgins are not mentioned in the Quran or the most authentic books of hadeeth. It is simply something brought up by Islamophobes in desperate attempt to discredit Islam.
The Quran informs of God's promise that those He is pleased with (monotheistic doers of good deed) will be admitted to an everlasting Paradise where people live in bliss - both tangible and spiritual:
there will be twofold reward for what they did 34:37
God has promised the believers - men and women - gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eden; But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of God. That is the supreme success. 9:72
Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect. 25:75
the Mercy (paradise) of your Lord is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass. 43:32
We shall remove from their breasts any (mutual) hatred or sense of injury (which they had, if at all, in the life of this world) 7:43
no fear shall be on you, nor shall you grieve. 7:49
Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve. 39:36
Verily, the pious will be in place of Security (paradise). 44:51
Neither darkness nor dust nor any humiliating disgrace shall cover their faces. 10:26
will enter paradise and not the least injustice, even to the size of a speck on the back of a date-stone, will be done to them. 4:124
Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but God has the excellent return (an everlasting paradise that is better) with Him. 3:14
The description of paradise which the pious have been promised (is that) in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed, rivers of milk of which the taste never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord. 47:15
And when you look there (in paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. 76:20
whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer (in the Oneness of God), such will enter paradise, where they will be provided therein (with all things in abundance) without limit. 40:40
paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, (is) prepared for the Righteous. 3:133
whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). 3:185
Gardens of pleasure 5:65
a generous provision 8:4
forgiveness and generous provision 8:74
wherein are everlasting delights. 9:21
angels shall enter unto them from every gate (saying): "Peace be upon you" for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!" 13:23-4
a beautiful place 13:29
For them will be Eden paradise (everlasting Gardens); wherein rivers flow underneath them; therein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine and thick silk. They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good is the reward, and what an excellent abode! 18:31
They shall not hear therein (in paradise) any evil vain talk, but only Peace 19:62
Gardens underneath which rivers flow (in paradise), wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls and their garments therein will be of silk. 22:23
Blessed be He (God) Who, if He will, will assign you better than that (which is in the Heavens and the Earth), - Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) and will assign you palaces. 25:10
the best abode, and have the fairest of places 25:24
Verily, the dwellers of the paradise, that Day, will be busy with joyful things. 36:55
(You) who believed in Our revealed miracles (i.e.. verses from the Quran, etc.) and were Muslims (i.e. who submit totally to God's Will, and believe in the Oneness of God); Enter Paradise, you and your wives, in happiness. Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them, (there will be) therein all that the one's inner-selves could desire, all that the eyes could delight in, and you will abide therein forever. This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit because of your deeds which you used to do (in the life of the world). Therein for you will be fruits in plenty, of which you will eat (as you desire). 43:69-73
