peter if you allow things you can do something about annoy you.
what happens with the things you cannot do anything about??????..
they will drive you insane..
best to switch off..the tele..
or the forum.
or come to the conclusion most irritants go away after a while.
the little prince is someones child/grandchild/heir to the throne..and we all think we have a little prince or princess dont we.. not a thing wrong with it.
asylum seekers...well maybe thats what we were in years past... looking for somewhere better/cleaner/bigger.. than where we were born...
who knows..we are decent citizens and thats what matters.
intolerance...peter you need to take a second look at your thread???
especially the first two lines..
Just doing a little stirring, cods. When the royal baby appears on the screen I leave the room.
I am tired of Australians' obsession with asylum seekers, but it doesn't upset me, just makes me sad.
I am a very tolerant person. After all, I put up with you.
You are also even more tolerant for bothering about me.
well said peter you covered yourself well..
I think its aging to be honest..we dont need to feel older by worrying about the unimportant..
its interesting you know because watching all the hoohaa over the new prince I wanted to be there and just soak up some of the good cheer and atmosphere..I think it would have been wonderful..yes it is just another baby, but fancy being able to bring all those people together..patting each other on the b ack sharing a beer with a stranger..
isnt that better than shooting each other up or bashing someone senseless on a Saturday night like we are seeing here.. I know which I would rather...
got talking to a complete stranger today in the foodhall waiting for my sandwich. she was mad as hell about having to buy another car after hers was written off..and all the cost and rigmarole involved.. and now she was waiting for someone to ring and tell her the car was ready to be picked up...and on and on she went.. so in the end I said.. well how are you then? [as she was driving the car at the time]. and she said oh I am fine and so was the other girl...well then alls well isnt i???.. you can replace a car but you could have lost a leg or an eye..or even a whiplash.can bugger you up for yonks.....
so I did get a smile out of her.. and I trust gave her something positive to talk about..
we should not dwell on the negatives so much..we have a huge amount to be grateful for..
look in a few weeks we will have got rid of this bloody awful govt..think positive
