I realise that and I fully support the courts decision. As mentioned several times, she got of lightly ...

I was merely giving my (ill informed) opinion based on the information I have seen on the media, about her and her family.

John Smith

So you think its hard to pick a pot smoking family ?

The only real speculative evidence is that the family does indeed look like pot smokers but that is not evidence at all.

No doubt the family projection is that of a bunch of misfits and nutjobs, but if that was crime they would lock up all the greens.

I really don't see the point of speculation even by the police ....... the family does look tight and it does appear that Schapelle is either guilty or happy to be the fall bitch...... no doubt the family reputation (if there ever was one) is destroyed and Schapelle will obviously have a book to write.

Why cares as long as justice has been spooned out correctly which as far as I can tell it has.

If the family wanted to throw her brother under the bus it had ample opportunity.

Beheading of an indonesian maid .

Warning;
gruesome.

Yes, ol Indon President SBY and other Indonesians flew into a tantrum of outrage.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jan/13/saudi-arabia-treatment-foreign-work...

More than 45 foreign maids are facing execution on death row in Saudi Arabia, the Observer has learned, amid growing international outrage at the treatment of migrant workers.

The startling figure emerged after Saudi Arabia beheaded a 24-year-old Sri Lankan domestic worker, Rizana Nafeek, in the face of appeals for clemency from around the world.

The exact number of maids on death row is almost certainly higher, but Saudi authorities do not publish official figures. Indonesians are believed to account for the majority of those facing a death sentence. Human rights groups say 45 Indonesian women are on death row, and five have exhausted the legal process.

Indonesia execution-homicided people recently.

There is no deterrence value in any nations death penalty of it's criminals if it takes decades for that nations justice system to carry out the sentence that was given.
It's time the Indonesians cleaned house and sent a message to those who peddle drugs.

Australia doesn't need Indonesia for anything, it only thinks it does.

1. Stop giving Indonesia money.
2. Ban all our citizens from travelling to Indonesia, including Bali.
3. Stop all trade with Indonesia, including live animals and food.

Foreign policy does not, and never will depend on how criminals are treated.

so we should jeopardise hundreds of millions in trade, and make enemies of our neighbours, to protect a few drug dealers?

Do you think the drug dealers give a stuff about you?

They should halt live exports to Indonesia.

Not because of their sentencing on criminals but because those barbaric third world pr1cks hack to death animals contrary to literally ever rule in the book.

Asians are dirty fkers who have no regard for animals at all.

The Indonesian government wouldn't care less Andrei.
They would buy their requirements from elsewhere, and more Australian farmers would go out of business.

I always thought she was quite decent looking bird when she went to jail.

Then I always had an attraction to the more bogany type girls - sort of want what you're not used to kind of thing I guess?

She's looking a bit ropey now, I guess thats what a decade of Indonesian food will do to you eh?

I hope her half-brother is proud of himself.

You know, the one who was travelling with her, turned around and fled the country same day she was arrested and has since been sent to jail for beating a man with an iron bar over a drug deal....

that's the piece of shyt I believe should have been locked up in the first place....  Angry

John Smith

Does not matter what the crime is, as a sovereign nation we want our legal system respected, in this case the Indonesian's have not done anything wrong, so there is not even a grey area argument on this.

If anything the Ants-Pants girl obviously paid a bribe which is a big custom in SE-Asia, this is the more dodgy case.

There are numerous cases in SE-Asia and the Middle east where Australians have been set up, its seems to be SOP by Saudi authorities to stitch people up with simple selling of Alcohol charges if they want to get rid of someone they don't like, especially if your a foreigner. Why Corby gets all this attention is beyond me.

Seems the ALP were happy to jeopardise our trade with their basic stupidity with Indonesia, did not need any dopy (i.e. get caught) drug dealers.

Not dead yet, but there are some who would have it that way:

...

Corby's pact with the dealers

''Can you keep it together, love?'' … drug traffickers Malcolm McCauley and David McHugh visit Schapelle Corby in Kerobokan jail in 2005.
