Hey Andre, nice of you to throw mud at Tanya's husband, but he sounds like someone who turned his life around and made something of himself;

In 1986, at the age of 21, he was imprisoned for less than three years of a nine-year sentence for conspiracy to import narcotics. At the time he was a heroin user. He recovered from his addiction through a Salvation Army program.

I think its pretty average to throw morality questions at a woman because he husband did the wrong, owned it, served his punishment then proceeded to right his wrongs, all of which happened 27 years ago.  It is also something Coutts-Trotter has never hid, denied or tried to blame on anyone else.

He is also someone who the Liberal Party also saw good things in and have kept on board during their term in government.

If the best you have on someone is what they did 27 years ago, then you are about stuffed in the credibility stakes.

Yes, but the difference is that Labor turn a blind eye to corruption (see recent ICAC findings) whereas O'Farrell clearly does not...

O'Farrell only acted AFTER a newspaper investigated - so will he now refer this grub to ICAC?   Roll Eyes

Barry O'Farrell sacks NSW Finance Minister Greg Pearce for conduct breach
BY:MARK COULTAN F

NSW Finance Minister Greg Pearce has been sacked for breaching the ministerial code of conduct, Premier Barry O'Farrell says.

Mr Pearce was sacked today for not disclosing to cabinet that an appointee he made to the Sydney Water Board in 2011 worked with his wife.

Hahahaha, poor Cods.  He was sacked today, in 2013, for an appointment he made in 2011.

Now why was he only sacked now, some two years after the appointment, because the Telegraph ran a story on it bringing it to light.

So the Frog is right, he was only sacked after it coming to light from a newspaper.

You really should read things in a bit more detail, you look a bit silly.

ok I thought he meant the travel rorts...sorry I had not read that bit... so who cares about looking silly... no big deal..

OFarrell seemed to be emphasising  the fact he wasnt sacked because of the rorts..

I apologise frog...my mistake.

"You guys" hey.  I have never brought up that incident about Abbott, and have regularly stated on the said topic that it was a long time ago and hardly worthy of a mention.

While I may not think Abbott should be leader of the Opposition Party, it doesnt mean I resort to that kind of cheap crap, nor does it make me one of "those guys".

Actually, cods, the press has been reporting on Pearce's rorts for more than two weeks.
Even your favourite, The Daily Teltgraph....

I can read... but that isnt what got him the sack. frog..

I would have sacked him a while back...but at least he didnt wait 15 years.... sorry but I do have to keep reminding you guys...

that must have been the longest blind eye in politics... Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Absolutely right, cod.

But only because O'Farrell changed the rules on travel claims to allow ministers to attend football matches, etc on the public purse.

Another positive mark for Barry. We might have to cop being creamed in the origin series, but at least we have a better Premier.
