How will tony save the budget?
Aug 2nd, 2013 at 8:28pm

$33 billion write down in 3 months.

Govenment has proposed:
1. FBT changes.  On review I think these are reasonable.  FBT is an entitlement for work benefits and personal use needs to have tax on it.  So, how do teachers, police, etc, those who tony wants to "end the hit" on use these lease vehicles for work?  You can't claim to and from work.  What Tavel for work is involve with these vehicles?  And if none then id rather government pay our police, teachers, etc, more than suggest they continue to make use of a tax loop hole.
Anyway... TONY OPPOSES FBT.

2. Bank levy.  TONY OPPOSES (at least by the sounds of his treasury idiot).

3. Sin tax.  Tony is even here electioneering!  I don't think I've seen a politican electioneer against rises to sin taxes.

Then there's:
1. Gonski he will keep.
2. His own proposed STOP THE BOATS measures
3. Private health rebate he will remove mean testing
4. Carbon tax he will cut but keep the revenue, and in place offer billions to deweed the country.
5. Mining tax he will scrap
6. Tax on $100,000+ super contributions he opposes
7. Proven underfunded paid parental leave.

So far, mr DEBT AND DEFICIT is opposed to all spending cuts proposed.

And what's he offered? $12 billion growth to GDP (not tax collection) by cutting red tape.

If we have a slowing economy and a structural problem to the budget then I'd prefer the party that offers some suggestion than the party that cries about the debt but offers no alternative and opposes all spending cuts.

How will tony return the budget to surplus?

get rid of the climate commission and useless cretins like Tim Flannery...

10 Billion Dollars right there...

Rudderless said before the 2007 election that the Public service was BLOATED and he was going to cut it down...

instead... he increased it by 20,000 people..

I guess a lot of them were employed to focus on spin and lies...

now he says again before this election that he's going to cut the Public service..

bugger me... how could anyone believe this compulsive Liar?

get rid of the carbon tax and make our businesses more competitive again.. = more Jobs and more tac revenue...

don't touch the FBT on cars ... the 80/20split is already fair enough and it encourages new car sales...

maybe do a 70/30 split on foreign cars to encourage sales on locally made cars...

the list goes on...

its not rocket surgery...  Shocked

since he's only promised over $100 Billion worth of spending, you've got another $90 B to go ... and that without paying back any debt yet.

The governments best way to encourage new car sales is to ensure an equatable growing economy.  Not tax loop holes.

do you really think that Labor are telling the truth about their new 3 Billion dollar a week black hole - over 30 Billion?

they are lying through their teeth... so how bad is it really when they admit this before the election?

so if it were me and when I got in.. id say..

oh the budget is a lot worse than we thought.. we'll have to make some cuts..

Public service bludgers.. minus 25,000
NDIS... it's already there they just renamed it and put a few more bucks into it
Gonski... already there... just a rebrand again and a few more bucks into it
NBN... shut it down as soon as you can... if there was "really" a need for it private business would have build it already...

do you think the libs are telling the truth?

Politicians don't tell the truth .. none of them. I don't know why people still act surprised when they find out one has lied.

they've said they'll bring us back to surplus sooner, they've said they are better economic managers, they've said they want to help the battlers ...

they've said plenty ... you just like to plug your ears and pretend all is rosy.

HE CANT.   THIS ,LOT HAVE KILLED IT..

now we will watch as the whingers from the left expect him to save us .. OVER NIGHT

$33bn BLOW OUT IS ONLY ON THE BUDGET ITs GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BLOODY DEBT

boy you guys need to take those blinkers off

he is now into crash and burn mode..in the hope of saving some face.. a BIT LATE..

now we are up for goodness knows how much because of his INSANE BOAT PEOPLE POLICY.

if you guys are looking for a magic bullet I wouldnt bother if I was you..... this is all about money and how it is managed.. all we can hope and pray for is there is someone out there that will have a clue what to do and make it work..

no good complaining whats done is done..

I believe we need to work to get out of it.. rather than dig ourselves in deeper.
