Why Change Government?
Aug 3rd, 2013 at 4:13pm

So why dump one old party for the other since there isn't much different between them.

One benefit with Rudd is he can speak a full sentence, even if it's cringeworthy. Imagine having Abbott represent Australia o/s.

So why change?

Abbott's cunning, but not wise. A politician, but not a statesman. If he becomes PM, I'll be surprised if we're not at war within six months.

Kevin and Tony are pretty much copying each others policies word for word so it does seem a waste changing govt just to get a Kevin 07 clone.

The other choice is a Government that promised a surplus of $1.5bn - later revised to $20bn deficit.

Now just 10 weeks since the last forecast they've revised their deficit forecast from $18bn to $30bn!!!!

That's pretty woeful forecasting even for the notoriously bad public sector.

If we forecasted that bad in our industry we'd be on the dole queue.

That's not a bad reason why a change of Government is not a bad thing.
This lot have presided over an awful economic downturn.

yeah you keep saying that despite the clear evidence that there is a mountain of difference between the two. it would be pointless showing it to you tho.

the predictions have been so bad and consistently so that you wonder why the government just doesn't lop 10% off treasurys revenue forecasts and halves their estimated savings.  that way you will always be closer than listening to treasury.

Oh, I have no doubt about that, but the "alternative" is equally as incompetent, which means  "WE" are between a rock & a hard place.
So, WHICHEVER OPTION GETS UP AT THE FORTHCOMING ELECTION, "WE" WILL BE THE BIGGEST LOSERS!

Rudd/Labor must be punished for ruining most of the nation.
...and booted out so they cannot ruin the rest of it.

Cringeworthy Rudd, a total embarrassment, speaks a sentence, then repeats it fifty times in his 45 minute speeches that he could've finished in 10 minutes[like Abbott does].

You mean "ME TOO" Rudd is doing exactly what he did in the 2007 election...copying all the policies of the Coaltion...making many promises...until after the election.

We all know how what happened after the 2007 election, don't we?
We have what we have today...massive debt, overrun by asylum seekers [read 'economic refugees'], sky-high petrol prices...no business confidence, rising unemployment, and a basket-case economy.

seems bambu .. you are a  'glass  half empty'   kind of guy.

you evidently believe all the crappist propaganda you are fed...

I'd prefer another hung parliament.. with the Greens and Independents retaining the balance of power.

THAT  would be worth a vote..   Smiley
