I find it incredible these capitalist thieves think that they would do great in a Communist system doing all the usual fraud, exploitation, stealing, lying and property theft...I mean get a grip and face reality, in a Communist society you are a criminal in the salt mines and I am the camp commandant...

Mr Howard has a vested interest in trying to get Mr Abbott up in the federal election. A win for Abbott could mean that Howard eventually would not be Australia's worst ever PM.

Howard won four federal elections.
Quite impossible if he was Australia's worst PM.
Go on.
Say something else stupid.
I know you can.

Of course John Howard has got it right.

The Reserve Bank is reducing interest rates again because the economy is f.....d!

Spending has reached new lows, there is a lethargy attached to this Country now that is quite strange.

It is as if we are in the stands watching KRudd and his wrecking ball f....k Australia over from a great height.

I pray that the Liberals will be up to the mammoth task of rebuilding after this economic vandal RUDD is kicked out of office.

Whitey, a number of people are saying that the best person to lead the vanguard of the proletariat and take us through the socialist phase to full communism is Matty.

Thoughts?

Yes Red, and when the Liberal government is running for re-election in 3 year’s time and the economy is still heading south, you’ll be saying how great life is under the Libs.

I guarantee it.

This has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.  "when I was pm we were doing so well the reserve bank cut interest rates.  Now, the economy is doing so bad the reserve bank is cutting interest rates."

How can anyone with a brain think this is a sensible argument?

I'd be okay with Howard's statements if he came out and admitted he was wrong in 2004.  But in true Howard form what we have is a nonsensical smokescreen argument.

And deliver economic prosperity to this nation through cutting taxes and increasing spending, and in doing so ENDING THE WASTE and bringing the budget back to surplus.

Well, the RBA has lowered the cash rate to a record OZ low, so  everyone should now feel good & ready to go, RIGHT?

Wrong!

As John Howard points out, the rates in Europe are already effectively at ZERO and their economies are not moving & nor are Japan & the USA, who are in the same boat!

In fact, the reality of interest rates is that Governments & Central Banks use them to "influence" the Economy, by raising rates to slow Demand & lowering them to increase Demand.

However, there are situations where Governments & CB's are in CONTROL, where they are in relative control & some where they have
no control
over events at all.

The current event is the latter of the above situations & that will not alter, whether Labor or Liberal win the upcoming election!

That is the reason they always cut interest rates ???

Remember the statement that "interest rates will always be lower under a coalition government" (John Howard), you were all very proud of that one. Ho Ho Ho.

Own Goal anyone.

Under what circumstance would you suggest the government has done a great job, where economy is booming and interest rates are 2.5%?

Exactly.

Howard is correct in his statement but what's so very wrong is how he changes his argument to suit and expects us all to forget his previous nonsense.  He has proven himself anything other than an expert in the field.  If he says SORRY for his 2004 nonsense then perhaps he would gain some credibility.

The masses are in reality their own leaders, a true communist leader knows this, that true politics and power begins and ends with them...perhaps matty has potential... Cool
