So you don't live in Australia, don't vote in Australia, don't have an Australian passport, don't pay any tax in Australia, have never fought for Australia, and now you don't invest in Australia either. You've severed your ties completely.

You're just another boring whinging Pom now, son.

I know I don't need an accountant to do my tax. You blokes charge fifty bucks to fill in a form. And I have to sit there and tell you all the answers.

bugger that. You want my advice? Leave the fighting to the men, son. You keep ripping off self-funded retirees and rorting little old ladies for a living. In England.

To be brutally honest Karnal, I couldn't give a bugger about Australia.
I've withdrawn my house funds now so how the economy goes in a country I don't live in, what the bugger do I care?!  Smiley

BUT like it or not, I'm Australian. Whether you want me or not.

Treasurer Wayne Swan says it is "utterly irresponsible" to suggest that today's cut to interest rates has again taken them to the "emergency levels" seen during the global financial crisis (GFC).

If Swan described the 3% at the heights of the GFC is "emergency levels"

What do you call it when the rate is now at 2.50%

If the 3% is caused by the GFC

What is causing the 2.5%?

No where to hide now Mr Rudd

The same causes that caused the GFC are still pushing their way thru the Global & Local system and they are the primary reasons why rates are being pushed lower by the RBA/Government!

That said, lower rates will not fix the problems here in OZ, any more than lower rates (down to zero) in many other countries has fixed the Economies in those countries!

to be correct it is not a GFC

its a global currency crisis

bankers cause the crisis ie:

1. steal money

2. lose money

3. governments fleece peoples and bail banks out.

4. you become a poorer version of being

a landless peasant .

( its all crown land you own nothing and pay 'rates' )

all is well be at peace
